Yes I love my PS3. I am getting annoyed at my friends who keep going on and on about how it has almost no exclusive games though. Sure it doesn't have very many but all the ones it has are freaking epic. If only there was some way I could make them shut the hell up.

I'm happy with my 360 and Wii, and my PC, all 3 have their flaws, but expecting them not to is abit much. What I do expect is their good parts to outweigh their flaws.

I have an Xbox 360. I think it's great. Unlike my last 2 Xbox 360's which broke down. I think that the 360 is the best current gen console by far, when you get one that actually works. I also think that games have been getting kinda boring in the last year or so. All the great innovations of this generation happened in 2006 and 2007 with nothing that fresh coming out recently.

Only got PS3 and it has had a few good games but this gen has been too much of a FPS gen. And FPS games have nothing to offer me. Except for TimeSplitters. :D

Still waiting for my copy of Red Dead Redemption, Demon's Souls, FFXIII and maybe Heavy Rain. Wonder if I missed any good rpgs...

Besides all the software updates you pretty much have to do manually,
Most games have a simple update button either in the game launcher or the main screen these days (although sometimes it's shoved somewhere less obvious). More games are coming with autopatching... but I always turn that off if I can. One too many a game has managed to break itself with a patch for me to trust them off the bat without reading forum feedback first.

there are hardware updates that will cost you yearly.
Or, you know, don't. Sure, you can upgrade yearly (or more often) if you want to and can afford it but unless you really, really, REALLY suck at choosing what parts to upgrade with you don't need to.
Either way (my original point is that), the PC is a completely different beast and while some may look at the cost and maintenance of a PC as a disadvantage, there are many others who look at it as an advantage in that it's much more customizable and capable than any of the consoles out there.

That's why I was trying to keep PC out of the argument; or at least on the fringes of it. My point is mostly about the satisfaction of the current consoles when compared to satisfaction of consoles past.

OK, I got myself the hardware failing one. Ya know what? Hasn't failed, likely because I don't treat it like I treat absolutely anything that has a large price tag.

So far, its been doing OK. There are an alright amount of games and all that....however, the backwards support for it is absolutely terrible, meaning I won't be ditching my original Xbox any time soon cause of my Timesplitters....

Now, that being said, I'm not really sure I want to buy any further "next gen" consoles, because right now I am very happy with what graphics are at, and where gameplay has come. I really don't see much that needs to be improved.

But I'm not in a gaming business, so what do I know?

I'm very happy with my 360 (aside from the 2 RROD I had last year...). I bought a Wii when SSBB released and never bought another game for it. Useless pile of crap if you ask me. I play a lot more PC games these days than I used to though, mostly WoW and SC2.

I play what appeals to me, simple as, irregardless of the platform.
Im happy with my PS3 and Xbox 360, won't buy a Wii because it does not appeal to me.
I play a lot of PC games as well.

I held out on buying the new gens

I held out til Fable 2 came out on 360

And I only recently bought PS3 when GoW3 came out.

I am very happy with my 360, though I feel like its on the edge and about to die since it sounds like a fucking locomotive when I turn it on. I enjoy the variety of games the console offers. Most of the time XBL doesn't appeal too me.

I don't have much to say about the PS3 yet, as I only own two games for it and just d/l ff7.

I don't get much PC gaming in anymore since this is not just my comp, but some of my all time favorite games were for the pc, and they are my guilty pleasures.

the only console that has ever died on me was the original xbox, favorite console of all time PS2 followed closely by SNES

For me, I love the PS3 as I couldn't use the PC after busting my video card. The PS3 has been a lot of fun. I hate my Wii, it was a complete waste of money.

Now I have a new PC tho so I think the PS3 will be a getting a little less usage.

Got an Xbox and ignoring a minor issue with the disc drive (had to take it back after 6 months) I'm happy with it. Has plenty of titles I want to play and I love the online services.

I am enjoying the PS3 and XBoX360. My pet peeves are that gold xbox live is 7 bucks a month and the the playstation @ home is a glorified chat room. Maybe I am just anti-social

In every new gaming generation, I always find games that I can enjoy. Of course, some consoles may take longer to get games I would like to play than others. I have a Wii and a growing collection of games, took a while for the console to really take off though. The 360 has some alright games, but most of them I play on my PC anyway so I'm not too broken up about the fact that I don't have one. The PS3 is the only one that is dragging on my list, Little Big Planet being the only game I've cared to play so far.

But there is still time left with these consoles, so I will be interested in seeing what is released for all of them later on.

The Wii gets a tentative "good" rating. I loved Metroid Prime 3 and Super Mario Galaxy (and LoZ: Twilight Princess, but I bought that for the GameCube). However, there's just not enough here. Stop tailoring to casual gamers, Nintendo, and a lot of your fans would return to you!
What about Conduit, Mad World, Super Smash Brothers Brawl, Red Steel 2, Umbrella Chronicles and No More Heroes 2? Also I think this whole casual gamer vs hardcore gamer thing is rather silly. There hasn't been that many 'mini game' collection games released for a while. (and it's not like Nintendo is the only one making them)
