Wii and PC. I honestly think the Wii is a great idea for a system, but no one steps up to take advantage of what it has to offer. Partially because of graphics (why they can't just make games with lower graphics is beyond me) and the other is because of money. It isn't cheap to make games with unique control schemes like the Wii. It's especially annoying for Dev's when they're doing all systems and they have to have a whole separate deal for the Wii. I wish that it could excel as a great system, but no one wants to step up and make the Wii shine.

As for the PC gaming front, I'm relatively new to it, but enjoying it far more. I just think it sucks that PC games keep moving forward with graphics in almost every new release. Why can't they they at the same level of graphics for a while so I don't have to lower my graphics on the computer or have issues running the damn thing? All this does is force us to update our PC's or get new ones after awhile in order to keep up with the latest and "greatest" games.

Meh. All things considered, I prefer both the Wii and PC to other consoles solely for FPS controls. I HATE dual-analog controls with a passion. I prefer Mouse+keyboard or Wiimote point. If the Wii could improve their game selection, it could easily outshine the competitors. Right now, however, it's all PC for me.

I have a PS3 and I'm very happy with it. Just wish it had a bigger hard drive...

I've got a PC, 360, and PS3, and IMO, this is one of the best and most balanced console gens in history. The Wii has mass appeal to the casual crowd, and both the Xbox 360 and PS3 are pretty much dead even. They both have their own great features, although they both have their downfalls as well. (360 has RROD, Sony has wrecked a number of PS3s with every new patch they've put out since 3.1, and have been refusing to do anything to support it)

Also, it's extremely balanced it terms of exclusives. Both the PS3 and 360 have a high number of quality exclusives, and even the Wii has a number of decent releases if you're willing to dig.

I'm actually very happy with this generation: I have both a PS3 and a Wii, and while the former fills up my need for FPSs, Sony's exclusives, etc., the latter is great fun to play with friends, and has some sweet exclusives itself. This is the first console generation that I've personally owned more than one console, so it's nice to have all of the benefits of multiple consoles.

That being said, I do miss the 3D platformers of yester-year, but I guess overall, this generation really is the best.

It's been a fine generation, just a let down for me as the PS2 probably had the most extensive library of games I've ever enjoyed. I think PS3 is finally hitting its stride so I'm optimistic 2010 and 2011 will make me like this generation more.

I have been a little disappointed with the lack of JRPGs and Timesplitters this generation, but other than that I'm happy with my PS3 and Wii. Most of the games I've bought for them I have enjoyed, and there's still a whole lot of games I haven't bought that interest me, so the future of them is looking pretty good. Also, there's rumours floating around of Persona 5 being a PS3 exclusive, so I'm even happier with my choice at the moment.

In regards to past generations, well, nothing can match the sheer awesome of the PS2. Timesplitters, Persona, Dragon Quest VIII, Okami, Psychonauts, the list goes on. No console or PC could ever hope to match my love for the PS2, but the current ones are doing a pretty good job and have online multiplayer. Sometimes it's a pain when they sacrifice split screen for it, but I can't always get the mates together when I want to have a game and online at least lets me play the damn thing with other people instead of just playing with myself.

You...are my new best friend. lol

OT: I own a PS3 and a Wii, but I've had "extensive" experience with all of them.

The Wii gets a tentative "good" rating. I loved Metroid Prime 3 and Super Mario Galaxy (and LoZ: Twilight Princess, but I bought that for the GameCube). However, there's just not enough here. Stop tailoring to casual gamers, Nintendo, and a lot of your fans would return to you!

The 360 gets a "bleh" rating. I personally feel that Halo is very overrated, and none of its other exclusives excite me at all. Anything that's worth getting can be found on my PS3, so what's the point in owning one? Not trying to cause conflict, just my opinions.

The PS3 gets a definite "great" rating. My favorite collection of titles, including Ratchet and Clank and God of War, while having a navigation system which I feel is more user-friendly than the Xbox's. Their system updates are really what prevent me from giving Sony higher marks: I always have to wait a week or two before updating, in fear of what it might do to my beloved PlayStation!

Got a 360, Wii, Ps2(Meaning I still play it, not getting a PS3 until there's enough exclusives I want.) and my PC.

I'm pretty happy with this generation.

It's occurred to me that we gamers have really gotten the short end of the short end of the stick this generation. All three of the main consoles that came out this generation are still expensive and rather lackluster.

Without naming any names, we've got an overpriced children's toy, an overpriced console that is pretty well built but receives horrible support (oftentimes taking away features rather than adding them), and another overpriced console that gets good support but has notoriously bad hardware problems. The latter two's problems are so bad that they've had a couple of (class action) lawsuits leveled at them.

What about you? How many of these consoles do you have? How many of these $250+ consoles are you happy with?

In the interest of avoiding a flame war, I'm not going to include any name in the poll and I beg the rest of you to keep the conversation constructive. If there's any group that could keep this discussion in the realm of tasteful, it's you guys.

Sorry if the poll seems a bit stunted or one sided but this is the first time I used all 8 options and wish I had a couple more.
No, I bought a PS3 and whilst I don't doubt my decision as far as the other consoles go, PC is really the only thing worth playing on in my opinion.

Once starcraft 2 releases I'll be okay with my PC.

I have no current gen consoles so they're sucking balls right now with their invisibility.

Well I got all 3, the Wii is shit, I played it for a week, although I will occasionally return to play some good exclusive. I love my PS3 and 360, not they don't have there problems. 360 is way to loud and my first one got red ring of death. The PS3 hardware is great, I really wish I could play PS2 games on my slim though, plus I think the interface is due for an upgrade.

Yes. I love my Xbox 360 and the Wii is nice to have around when the little ones in the family come over to visit.

Picked up a PS3 this December, and I'm happy with it.

Think of it this way: they're all an evolution from the last generation. That's what's important.

I still largely play PC, though.
