Yeah, I am. I have a 360 and a Wii, and both of them can be quite fun. Most of the time, I'm on my Xbox, and I'm quite happy with the price of Xbox LIVE, and I think the console is great. My Wii only sees action when my friends are over, but that's where it excels, so we have no problems there.

I own a Wii, but I never use it. When I decide to do some gaming I will use my PC, which I am quite happy with.

Have a 360. Happy with it, still consider myself a PC gamer though since ALL my multiplayer games are on it (and most of my favorite singleplayer gamess) I don't have a huge stock of games and mostly only use it for Guitar Hero/Rockband and DJ Hero type things. That and to play my classic Xbox games. only games I have on 360 that aren't band type things are Halo 3, Lost Planet, Gears of War, Force Unleashed, Assassin's Creed, GTA IV, Bioshock (the last 2 I am thinking of trading in for PC versions though), Quake 4 and Tom Clancy's Endwar (cuz it was cheap).

I don't see why a computer gamer would complain consoles are too expensive.

Seriously, you have to upgrade those things just about every year if you wanna play decent games, and upgrading them costs about $200. Not to mention just starting out with a decent computer costs around 1k.

I own an Xbox 360 and have since August 2007. I did have to replace the first one that I had bought, but because I had that Best Buy warranty program it wasn't an issue.

Before my 360 I had the original Xbox and had been happy with that too.

I used to play Computer games, but to be frank I have never been willing to keep up with the ever-increasing costs of PC Gaming.

I like my console gaming because it doesn't require massive investments of time on my part. I can pop a game in the console, play it, and thats it. With PC gaming I've always had to upgrade my computer, find patches online, wait on install times, and potentially have to get new drivers to operate newer games. I find I don't want to invest that much time getting something to work on what is essentially a frivolous use of my time.

I would be very happy with my 360 if the bastard thing was more reliable. Freezes, disk trays popping open to say hello when you haven't saved in a half hour, red rings and other faults are pretty common.
I'm on my third in 2 years, that's how bad it is.
But, great games and when it works it's brilliant :)

I got a ps3 recently because i got pissed off at my xbox continuing to break and break and break. I am very happy with it. The graphics are good it has built in wifi the controllers are nice and I think the trophy system is very good unlike 360s achievements.

J'ai un Wii, and what annoys me about it is that the only good games seem to be made by Nintendo, meaning that I have a limited selection range.

(Don't bother recommending any; I play on the PC mostly and I still need to finish Super Mario Galaxy)

I have a 360 and I couldn't be happier, the one time it did break it was only down for 2 weeks and Microsoft had it back to me. I can handle that, considering it's worked perfectly every other time. Yeah yeah it shouldn't have broke blah blah blah, but you know what. My NES never worked, and a lot of people had that problem and everyone still loves it.

I love it, I love the online, I love playing with my friends, and I love the games I have on it.

I also PC game but not as much.

Also I have a feeling I would love the other consoles too (maybe in different way for different reasons) but I can't afford them. I do not hate or flame anyone who has them though because it's their choice.

Im going to be honest, I did have an xbox 360 but it crapped out pretty quickly. I prefer to just remain on PC.

I like these threads where someone says there's problems with all consoles (EXCEPT THE ONE I HAVE TEEHEE) so I'm going to be equally spiteful to ALL the consoles because I don't get attached to pieces of plastic with companies behind them.

360: has a big failure rate, the Dpad is a pile of garbage, it has low storage on its HDD and the upgrades are expensive. XBL community are mostly asshats, no built in wifi, backwards compatibility is a lie.

PS3: multiplatform games are not as good 99% of the time, the updates are frequent and take 10 minutes even on Fios, removed backwards compatibility function,

Wii: No ethernet port, poor storage space, online play is far from user friendly, force motion controls rather than giving options, disc drive is slow with dual layered games.

EVERY CONSOLE HAS ITS PROBLEMS, especially this generation, with many new functions and new waves of gaming innovations and inspirations. There's a lot of good features but also balanced by flaws.

I didn't go as far as to mention my direct personal opinion but problems that are also frequent with many users. I've been equally negative on each console here, they ALL have issues but most of the time they're easy to look past. That's the beauty of owning a console, it's simple fun of putting a game in, and you play (unless it's on fire) these glaring flaws often vanish. Don't quote me defending a console, because I don't care, I'm not employed by these companies so I don't care to argue that the Wiibox3 actually has better triggers or whatever. Most of it is subjective and I don't care anymore.

Call me bias or spiteful but my real goal here was to prove that all consoles have their flaws and arguing one is better than the other is mostly subjective and honestly no one cares that you like your PlayboxWii60 better than the Wiibox30.

Oh I forgot one console silly me:

Sega Genesis: Many controller options! Has great addons! Blast Processing! Did I mention addons? Like a CD drive! You can even use your motions to control your games with the fighter pad! Man it does it all! Power Supplies for EACH addon!!! That's 3 total when you power it all up, making the genesis scientifically the most powerful system of ALL time! If you're not catching the sarcasm and mockfanboyism at this point, stop reading

Unlimited free installs, automatic updates, webbrowser in game, pretty much the same friends system, with pc you can use whatever chat program you like in the background with almost unlimted ammount of people in one (skype, vent, ts, etc etc) and doesn't have crap quality. MSN on console? Takes ages to write with a stick while on pc you can use msn in game with raptr.
Sure it might not be in one program but together they are far superior, while on a console you are limited to what they decide to give you.
Alt-tabbing is no alternative to anything. And i'd rather have physical discs thank you very much. Anyway i'd rather not turn this into a PC vs Console topic, but IMO, steam isn't even close to XBL in terms of functionality or ease of use.
ill back you up on this,

hell while i love the 360 all the same, its easy enough all the fratty's and idiots use it, so there is your proof "steam elitists"

(dont get me wrong, i love steam, and i buy games and play around on there alot, but xbl as far as user friendliness, and reliability its pretty damn good)

OT: im happy with everything i got, which is all of them, they all served their purpose in one time or another, and they will again and again in the years to come, so im satisfied, im not super high maintanence so im satisfied with this era of gaming

I have a 360 and love it, even if it has died on me... I mean, it's nothing close to my PC but I still love it.

I have all three. Though, I am more dissapointed with the Wii out of all of them. Too... first-party, if you understand what I mean. I guess also with how it mainly appeals more to small children. The way I see it, you're only going to pick up the more mature rated games is because your brother/sister/son/daughter/cousin/other has a Wii and you might as well play Red Steel. But hey, that's my opinion. The PS3 and Xbox are equally great. Though I have found myself playing on the PS3 alot more recently.

I have a PS3 and a 360, out of the two I probably prefer the PS3. My 360 is a Jasper unit, but it's still louder than the apocalypse.

When accending to this recent gen I used all three consoles at friend's houses and went for the PS3. I'm more than happy with my PS3 as a console and I prefer it over the xbox for reason I won't disclosed. As sister bought a Wii I can play it whenever I like. Not that I would want to though.

If I do get tired of my PS3, I just go play on my Alienware laptop.
I completely agree with you. For me, PS3 simply suits how I play. Lucky you though, Alienware laptop and all, ( can't even afford a gaming PC. No Portal 2 for me!)

I have all three and a PC, and I like them all easily as well. 360 has the games I mostly want to play, but I've had 2 RRODs for 3 years. PS3 has cool stuff on it too, but I don't have the HD cables and The Online gaming is not as enjoyable on the 360. The Wii, I would play more if it had better games, and I'm not crazy on using the WiiMote for at least 75% of their games. PC, I play nothing but Team Fortress 2 and Mount & Blade, and that's all I need.
