MercFox1, I am SO with you! I've been waiting for a new installment of PlanetSide. The closest we have coming is Huxley, and I'm not holding my breath for it.

I signed up in hopes to relive some of my past experiences. It's like a classic that nobody knows about >.<

This post lowered chances of the people who had already signed up for Planetside War's chance to be selected for the Escapist's team significantly. People who had not signed up and answered with "no" most likely went off looking for a link or description about the game, clicked it, and proceeded to sign up. Therefor, many of the people who selected no initially in fact selected yes. Also, not everyone who signed up for the game replied/viewed the thread, so there is even less of chance theoretically.

I'd love to. I've never played planetside, but I've read a lot about it, and I've often considered trying it. I plan on getting a trial account soon just to check it out in case I get picked. If I don't, I can still end up having fun with it. ^^

I love FPS games, and I love tactical games. This sounds like tribes 2 except 10 times better and more sophisticated.

I signed up for it, never heard of it, but I enjoy MMO and FPS, and can play at least 5 hours a week, I should probably get the trial play to test it out, so I know the game mechanics a little, and can be of some help, if I get picked...lol

Yeah. I remember reading about Planetside in a magazine in 2003. I was interested about it back then and still am.

I tried applying, I doubt I'll be chosen (and I certainly doubt I'm one of 'the Escapist's best') but I thought I'd give it a try anyway, it doesn't take a good PC to run this game right?

I signed up for it but I'm actually starting to regret it as I like my account and don't want to get perma-banned for not being on what for, was it, an hour a day? I know they want to win and stuff but a perma-ban for not filling up quite a lot of time is pretty harsh.

I haven't played it either, so chances are I'm going to dislike it.

No, because, badges be damned, I will NOT sit through another 20 hours of Sony's piss-poor excuse for a patcher downloading the 50 trillion files I need before the game is finally playable. Nevermind that I left it on overnight last time I played.

Ok could someone plz explain how when i signed up for planetside with the escapist its now given be a badge saying RPS ... before ny 1 goes staing the obv: yes i have been on the rps forums, no i have not signed up with them .... yelp!
