About 2 weeks ago my girlfriend and me just broke up from a 2 year relationship, and I got to thinking about true love.
For the longest time, I believed [i/]her[/i] to be my true love. We shared so much in common and told each other how much we loved one another everyday, and now it's over. I know I probably sound like a drama queen right now,(did I just say "drama queen"?) but I truly loved her. After that, I felt that there is no such thing as true love. Its just really something dressed up by society. There really is no one person out there for you, which is also the reason I've never believed in the idea of marriage.
But, I'm starting to ramble and I'm a cynical bastard, so I'd like to know, what do my fellow Escapists think?
Do you believe in true love? Do you think that there is a one and only for you? Has something like this happened to you that made you change the way you think? If so, let me know.
