I've bought DLC, but recently it seems to be going toward less for more. last one i bought was the latest Halo reach pack and i've been getting some fun out of that.

I bought all of the DLC for Borderlands before the GOTY thingy came out. Why? Because they are just that good.

I bought Borderlands when it was on offer and the DLC pack when it was on offer, came to about £9-11ish. When the GOTY edition is on offer nowadays it's at ~£7.50 so I don't feel that hard pressed.

I've got the GOTY edition of Fallout 3 so yes/no there.

I had to buy the dlc (technically a dlc) for Beat Hazard to enable aac music as I use itunes. I also got the multiplayer dlc, even though I don't know anyone with it as it was 70p the other day.

Other than those, no I don't think so.

Yes. I've boughta couple of the Fallout 3 DLC packs, a couple Magicka add-ons (I can't live without that cool straw hat), and a couple of others.

It depends if I like the game, and I think the content is worth the price.

I did, for a few games i loved, Mass Effect 2 mostly, and i don't actually regret it, as long as it adds something meaningful to the game i'm fine with it.

Wow. A lot more negative responses than I thought there would be when I clicked on this thread. I almost always buy DLC, because it tends to be at least mediocre, and I also hate not having things that are avaliable, which is why I always try to buy spcial editions (even though my wallet hates me for it)

I'll only buy DLC for games that I enjoy. Eg, I bought all of the DLC for Dragon Age: Origins, however, I never bought any of the Fallout 3 DLC because that game frustrated the hell out of me as I could never play for longer than 20 mins (if that) without the bloody thing crashing on me.

I just shelled out a boat load of money for your game, and now I have to give you even more #$& for the rest of the #&@*(&$ game!!! *@$! NO. I will dled if its free, or I'll rip it, but when games are expensive as they are I'm not giving them more money for the damn story that should have been part of the game in the first place, and would have been 5 years ago.

If it's good DLC, I usually end up buying it.
Care to clarify with a couple of examples?
well for one thing I hear the horse armor for oblivion is a good one
O.T. sometimes it depends what I have left over and if there's nothing else I want really the more recent dlc I got was for beat hazard and that was because I had $5.00 left over on my prepaid credit card
also got 2 borderlands dlc (zombie island and mad moxxie) all the grand theft auto 4 dlcs and all of fallout 3's dlc so really depends if I like the game and want something more and if it adds more to the game

I only buy DLC when its cost is appropriate for the amount of playtime it holds compared to the price of the original game. A Fallout New Vegas DLC that costs ?10 won't be very attractive if I paid ?50 for the original game, so those are a no.

Very seldom. I did buy some Borderlands DLC on a Steam sale (really cheap) aaaaand... I think that's it. I MIGHT buy Skyrim's DLCs, but I'd rather have expansions, like the previous iterations of the franchise.

Other than that, I always pick up games after an year or two they've been released, and, most often than not, the GOTY or Platinum Editions, with all the bells and whistles already included.

I feel the current DLC trend is stimulating studios to release half-baked games, and thus making them strip the core game to a bare minimum, to sell everything else as an "exciting DLC feature". Don't be surprised if you need to buy the "Jump" DLC on some Mario title down the road.

As a customer, I'll oppose that by any means necessary.

Wow! I am REALLY suprised how many DON'T buy DLC!
Not even for your favourite games? Honestly?
I don't buy DLC willie nillie, but unless they are AWESOME dlc or I can't get enough of the game, then yes, I do, though sometimes I wait for a sale (got ALL ME2 DLC for under £5. What a BARGAIN!!!)

Such as the Red Dead Redemption undead nightmare bumper pack (or something) contains the DLC I REALLY wanted plus the others for the price of two. No map packs though, I bought the REACH one and only used it it a few times. WASTE OF MONEY!

Basically all my favourite games have at least 1 DLC with them, and I don't see why people don't get them. I know some DLC is made to squeeze out our money (400 ms points to play as darth vader, Soul Caliber? Really?) but if you love a game why not extend your game play hours, especially for DLC for games like TES and Dragon age!

Depends on if I love the game...

New Vegas
Fallout 3
Oblivion
Red Dead Redemption
Saints Row 2

All these I own DLC for because I enjoyed these games...
(enough to keep them of course)

Yes, but rarely.

Most DLC I own is a result of game of the year editions of packaged sales like Steam. I did buy some DLC separately for Dragon Age Origins though, and also a lot of DLC for Rock Band over the years.

DLC in a game like Rock Band makes sense even though its a little more expensive than I can justify. In a typical game like DA:O, it's really a rip off at normal prices.

I just purchased DLC for the first time a few days ago when Steam had Fallout:New Vegas and its DLC for cheep. I'm pretty hyped about Skyrim so I'll probably end up getting the DLC for it, but that will mostly depend on how much spare cash I have.
