First year maths at one of the top 25 universities in the world, so i'd say i'm educated as for whether i'm more intelligent than the average person who knows. I reckon that 99% of people who fail at school isnt because their stupid but because they're lazy/dont care/high/drunk/not listening/combination of all of the above.

No, I do not think I'm more intelligent than most people meet; or perhaps I just don't want to be. I know some guys (it's mostly men, for reasons not under discussion here) who consider themselves more intelligent and capable than others, and most of the time they are, but they are so fucking arrogant about it - rubbing it in the face of people they deem unworthy of their presence. Fucking pricks.
If that's what being above average is about, count me out.

Academic ability =/= intelligence

I think logically, I'm competant, I can solve practical problems easily, and find it easy to grasp complicated concepts.

Both experience and IQ tests.
This. I tend to know more in general then people I know. Furthermore I get the highest marks in my tests then most people in my class.

I'm officially gifted and talented and I go to one of the best schools in England so I'd say I am based on tests.
So, is your head comfortable there in your own backside? :D

(joke)
Lol, there's not a lot of room cause I'm so full of crap.

Re-reading my post it did come across as a tad arrogant.

More intelligent? Maybe, I haven't checked in a while. I think I have more common sense than a lot of people seem to though, and my large vocabulary makes me seem more intelligent, even if I'm not academically amazing.

Heh. Believe me, in 2 years your test results will change.

I too thought my grades were very good 2 years ago. But then you just stop caring, since you realise school exams don't show ANYTHING, except how lucky you were with questions.

How lucky you are with questions... Kudos for speaking the truth!

Based on IQ tests, I'm in the top 5% of the U.S. (score of 139). Unfortunately, while I'm quite good for trivia, and school work if I focus, I tend to be forgetful. Often. So, yes in some ways, no in others.

I may not be great at math, nor am I great with sciences. However I still am more intelligent than most. Due to the fact I try to learn.

Overall, I think I'm competent and intelligent, though very forgetful and silly. I'd say average.

If I were to base myself off personal experience with how kids my age present themselves in an intelligent manner off a forum last year from a class I attended when I went to school, I'd be Einstein.

I can't comfortably vote on this because I used to consider myself smarter than the average person, but a few people close to me started judging my intelligence on concepts like "how many books have you read?" and my knowledge of history, and judged my shelteredness/not-shelterness on what kind of music and movies I like.

And yet I often look down on people in terms of learning, logic, concepts, human interaction and common-sense all the time! Different people have different concepts on intelligence and I just don't feel comfortable settling on one even if it's my own.

An average person isn't very clever. We're being dragged down by the troggladites [http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=troggladite].

Oh, the irony.

I have my moments. I don't think I'm as clever as others perceive me to be.

I like to think so... my IQ is 128 and I heard somewhere that the average is 100.
