To all those who say no...Bullshit.

You're telling me not knowing what lies beyond death doesn't scare you? Lack of knowledge leads to anxiety and fear, this is human nature.
To some humans, I guess.
Those who believe in the afterlife, I'd assume, wouldn't fear death.

I am afraid of pain, if that counts. But death, not so much.

As Charles Darwin said, "I am not in the least afraid to die." By the time it matters, I'll be too dead to care.

Of course I do, all those people that said no are most likely lying.
Once again, some people think differently. I'm just going to assume you calling them liars is slang for "I respectfully disagree".

conqueror Kenny said:
If you were told that you had a terminal illness and were going to die you wouldn't be scared?
Not scared, but sad. I do like living, after all. Though I'd pull my shit together soon, since I don't intend to spend my last days moping over the inevitable.

I'm completely terrified of it, i don't like the finality of death and that fact that there is nothing anyne can do to stop me or the people i care about from dying.

the funny thing is, the way I see it death is just an ending, not the beginning of as you put it "a dark void for all eternity" it's just nothing...

so no, not afraid in any way.

I would like to attend my own funeral tho... does that make me weird?
You will be there! You get to be the guy in the box!

The only reason that I'm alive is because I'm afraid of death otherwise this comment wouldn't be here...

My idea of "Not believing in afterlife" is a dark void of nothingness... That's all the more reason to fear the end... Yours might be diffrent though.

I am but mostly because I think that when we die that's fucking it. Just image not thinking, feeling or anything. I like thinking, oh ya and if you brain hurts from trying to imagine it I succeeded.
V for vendetta... I loved that movie... I also love masks... (Irony? :D)

Well, I could die tomorow or in 69 years. If a guy with a knife would come to kill me, I'll be scared of course.

Then again, I would rather die knowing that I lived my life. You know, getting laid, having a puff, playing a game with friends, teach, and all the good things I want to have.

I don't want my life to end. I often find myself thinking about immortality and wanting it. Unfortunatly that will never be... Unless we create cyborgs!

Well, it's just how I think there being no life after death looking like. (Like when you close your eyes.) Oh yes and, I'd like to attend my own funeral aswell... As a ghost thing... not the corpse in the box. <_<

I don't think your actually "there" to witness that... I think, when you die it's just the end. no more thoughts. no more obnoxious people. no more sound, light, smell, just a dollop of nothing.

You know, I think I am one of the few people who can click on 'That guy with the sickle? Nah, we go wayyy back.' and actually mean it. I won't get into details, private life and all that, but I have faced the prospect of dying enough times that I don't find it in the slight bit frightening or even dreadful. I actually can't wait to find out what lies beyond cause till we die we shall never know. It is an exciting prospect, and one I welcome no matter the outcome.

Don't know why I should bother to be afraid of it. Not like being afraid gets around the fact that it'll happen eventually. Might as well just wait for it to happen and enjoy the ride.

Ok...Really?
Either everyone is a lot braver than I am, or they dont know about this yet:

[HEADING=1]Not so tough now are ya...ARE YAH[/HEADING]

Anyway, I can honestly say that Im not to keen on the whole dieing thing. I like living, so not living is not something that I want. If someone had a gun pointed at me, Im not going to pretend that I would be calm, cool, and collective. Though my real fear is "dying for nothing", not necessarily death itself.

Not at all.

I'll die one day, so will you. Can't change the fact.

At this moment I'd prefer not to die cos life is getting interesting, but when my time comes my time comes.
