I had a Facebook page but decided to delete it all and cancel the account because I didn't really use it and didn't really have any friends.

Yeah, need it to keep in contact with friends who it's harder and harder to see.

It's too convenient not to have, but I keep my contact list down to the bare essentials and I don't take it seriously as a form of communication; it's just how I find people so I can engage them in a meaningful way later on.

Yes but I mostly use it to communicate with my sister... lol

You see one time I went into hospital and had morphine I decided that reading 'the cell' by stephen king was a good idea to pass the time. I'm sure I will get over the morphine induced horrors of owning a zombie making mobile phone at some point...I hope.

A group of my friends got irritated that I did not have a Facebook account, so they created a fan club for me. I found that humorous.

Yes, and I use it every day. I travel the country a lot for Speech and Debate, so it allows me to keep up with friends that otherwise I'd only see three or four times a year due to their location. I don't care how much Zynga Poisoning their is or how questionable Zuckerberg gets, as long as it lets me regularly flirt with the girl I'm interested in(who unfortunately lives hours away from me), Facebook is a-okay in my book >.>

Me? With a Facebook account? *hysterical laughter*

*ahem*

No, as I'm not extroverted enough to make one.

It's aye or nay actually.
I don't have it. It's not for me.
Well he is correct, it's just that he's spelt it wrong. The correct spelling for this context is 'Yea.' [http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/yea#Adverb]

OT: Yes, I do. Didn't for a while, but I eventually caved to soceity's expectations of me.
Someone already did this for me:

I raise you http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/aye >_>

OnTopic: Yes, I use Facebook to keep in contact with those not in my phone list (or would rather not call). Makes it easy to keep up with family, old classmates, and out of state friends.
A quote from there:

Noun

aye (plural ayes)

1. An affirmative vote; one who votes in the affirmative.

"To call for the ayes and nays;" "The ayes have it."

This is the context I was refering to.

Not anymore. I canceled my account over a year ago when I realized that Mr. Zuckerberg was a douche and could give a flip about protecting privacy.

I do miss the ability to easily share photos with friends who live in other cities, but I don't miss the creepy-stalker feelings it gave me.

I have it and use it regularly. It's handy for organising things and keeping in touch with relatives, as well as sharing hilarious stuff on the interwebz. However, I like the anonimity I have here so that's why my account isn't linked.

I have a facebook account, but it's not linked to my Escapist profile because I like my anonymity; the facebook account is under my real name, you see. That said, if I'm on the internet, it's pretty much guaranteed that I'm going to have a tab open to facebook, whether I'm actively looking at it or not. Having gone off to college, it's a great way to keep in touch with friends and family that I no longer live near, not to mention an easy way to plan things with the people I do live near. I've never understood why so many people on this site seem to hate it, or at least why people hate it for reasons other than the admittedly awful privacy concerns.

Technically I do. Once made one so I could view someone's photos. I don't really care about that any more, so I'm just gonna delete it. If I can be bothered that is. It's not like I use it for anything. Silly social networking nonsense.

Answer is...nope!

Don't want it, don't need it, don't really care about it, have no reason to deal with it. Of all the things in life that I could be sporting around or using that other people are obsessed with, Facebook and all its merry little clones would not be one of them. I'd rather just have an iPhone.

I made one mainly to keep contact with my friends after dropping out of school. I only have around 35 friends, so I'm not obsessive.

Haven't logged in for around three months, though...

Hell no. I value my privacy far too much. I have no need for FB anyways, anyone who wants to contact me on FB can instead use the email account they needed to register it to email me.
Heh heh, I used my Yahoo account to make an FB account - and I neither connect my FB nor Yahoo account with anything. After not logging into Yahoo for three months, it died on me. If anyone on FB tries to get to me through my email address, they'll simply hit a dead end. ;)
