i don't like halo 3. but then i dislike both halo 1 and 2 also. the franchise is overrated. and for one of the "xbox only" special series, it was a huge letdown.

I think it's really fun and enjoyable.

I liked the campaign in all three. Even though I know I shouldn't have.

I think the multiplayer's a blast but the community is plauged with immature and obnoxious gamers.

The Halo series is one of my favorites ever, and I consider 3 to be the best thus far. And my gaming experience is quite broad so that isn't a factor in what many would perceive to be my "wrongness".

That's not really fair give them a few seconds at least. This is also extremely annoying to myself as I tend to assume the role of team leader (when I feel like it) being the only person with both a mic and half a brain.

Yes, indeed I do enjoy it. The online is well organized, and it is an incredibly solid shooter. What I don't like is how often it is called, "The best game EVAR!" or at least, "The best FPS EVAR!" because that stops people from getting into deeper gaming experiences, as well as giving the game undue credit. Of course, these are all just my opinions...

Right, that sorta confirms the broad muting policy. I'm not inclined to take orders from a stranger anymore than I'm willing to listen to someone jabber. If you want to do team play coordinate it with your pals, it isn't L4D.

Well, mostly I'm telling people not to be an idiot (wait for a gunner, bomb goes the other way, stop dying we only have a narrow lead and there's less than a minute left). So assuming you aren't an idiot we can both happily sulk misanthropically.

Well... yes, I suppose I do. The Deus ex machina was a little disappointing story element, but it's good for distracting me from finally beating the final boss in Metroid Prime 3. (a much better game). I like the vehicles, the shooting is okay, the enemies take forever to kill, but it's a great time waster. It's not a great game, and the multiplayer seems broken at certain spots, but I like it.

I always thought the world for Halo fans was destined to one day be swamped up by the aminstream hate.

Then I saw the results for this poll, do you like Halo 3:
Yes: 80
No: 47

That's good.

I enjoy it. and to be honest, I find the haters to be more annoying then the fans. The fans at this point just seem to play the game, the haters are...still talking...when they could be playing...

But in all seriousness, YES I like the game a lot. Theirs a lot going on and a lot to do while you play single or campaign and I really enjoy that aspect of it. I could go into detail from here to there, but then I'd be rambling, and tats just something I wanna do on the internet.

I play it, the effort and spirit of the designers show, I feel legit in enjoying the game

HERE HERE!!
I agree completely
I'd rather be the fanboy who's playing the game he likes and being happy doing so... then the self important elitist who hates for the sake of hating and whom makes hatred his soul reason for being.

Hell no.

It's a generic FPS, and I really don't understand why it's so popular. Plenty of better games on the PC.(The BF series, for example.)

Couldn't agree more. People that like it don't seem to feel the need to prove that they do like it. However, people that don't like it, feel the need to go on the top of a roof, and yell to the world "I'm special, I don't like Halo 3!"

It's not a bad game, it's just very generic. It doesn't stand out at all, I'm not a fan.

I vote yes. But I play the game entirely for it's Matchmaking. I haven't really enjoyed the single player in any of the 3 titles, but I finished them all on Legendary because I'm a whore for completion.

It just has the best matchmaking system I've seen in an online game. I hate booting up a game and having to search for other people based on criteria. Or games where you're ranking is based solely on how much you play the game. Halo's matchmaking seems to find fairly accurate games (There is still the chance of complete blowouts or dropping teammates).

So, for my money it's a great way to spend a couple nights a month playing online with friends. If the game connoisseur's want to call it childish and uninspired, I leave them to the game of their choice, and I'll keep playing something I enjoy.

Yeah, those people make up most of the online world now so they have to realise they aren't special. I agree with everything about the effort the designers made and yes I feel like I genuinely enjoy playing the game.
I wonder if mybe I should shout on a roof :
"No I'm special, because I like Halo 3!"

Never played it. I played Halo 1 and it was so boring and repetitive that I didn't want to touch any game from that franchise ever again.
