2, both are ceremonial. One's a claymore and the other's a longsword (I think).

I have one American Civil War replica, one (authentic) Arab scimitar my parents picked up in Morocco in the 1960s (for about fl 200 in 1960s money) and a ceremonial Dutch sabre from the late 19th Century.
I also have a katana (not a real one unfortunately), and for about three hours had a Maltese Order sword... but I did not get it past the Maltese customs :(

I also have a few daggers, including a Sikh Kirpan.

If not, why? Zombie's a comin one day, and the chainsaws all the way out in the tool shed. I guess you could use a gun, but wheres the fun in that?
I've got three swords, a crowbar, five knives (one of which is AMAZING), a pair of tonfa, and a compound bow. And that's all just in my room. =D

I have several. None combat ready though. A chinese sword (forget the name), An English long sword (King Richard the Lion Hearts sword - no not Excalibur) Also Aragorn's Ranger sword from Lord of the Rings and Anduril (The reforged Narsil). Anduril is huge, beautiful sword. Also a set of Japanese swords (a Tanto, Wakizashi and Katana)

When I'm able I will be getting more. Since I'm living in China now I will probably buy a functional one since they're pretty cheap. How I will get it home to Canada though I'm not sure.

2 Machetes (Functional)

1 Practice Tai Chi sword

2 Practice Katanas (Not Bokens)

1 Tanto, 1 Short Sword, and 1 Katana (3-Piece Display set)

1 Fatana or 'Fake Katana'

Escapist's Note: To all those that say, "Those aren't REAL swords!" Miyamoto Musashi, the most famous Japanese Swordsman and author of the Five Rings used wooden swords more often then real katana. In fact, his most famous sword duel was one with a wooden sword he whittled from an oar on the boat ride to the island (where the duel was taking place).

I've got a katana I got as a present from when my dad went on holiday in Japan.

I think swords are lame (in real life at least), so it's gathering dust somewhere behind my bed.

I collect them for display purposes, not for fighting. For the amount I've paid, I'll stick with cardboard tubes :p

Almost everyone in my finally owns one or more swords, and i finally received my first katana as a sort of "coming of age" gift. It's hanging proudly on my wall, and it shall continue to do so for years to come.

No swords. A couple of knives, but if I was going to have to deal with zombies, I'd probably get a hammer or an axe from the tool shed. Or a spade.

Pfft. Zombies aren't going to be a threat. The real trouble is in human cloning.

The closest thing I have to a sword are a pair of machetes.
Yeah because 2 of me is too much for Earth to handle =D

OT: I own a nice Claymore Sword, sitting on my mantle - I'd take it down but it tries to kill my dog

This makes them anymore real as swords how? at the end of the day it all comes down to opinion and preference.
