They make sports games. Which are the only game genre I have never liked a game from.
That doesn't seem like a valid excuse for all the hatred and bile EA has been the target of.
http://www.igtfy.com/?q=EA+games+limits+product+keys they are product key nazis and punish their customers in order to "stop piracy" along with lacing everything they have with buckets of DRM. theyre just really bad devs IMO i still hate them theyre still evil.
They're evil for wanting to gain a profit off their product?
No. They are evil for engaging in unethical practices.
Like having a good bussiness policy?

There's plenty of fishy business in there.

No. For installing third party software on peoples PCs without consent, for deliberately keeping content out of games in order to inflate prices later, for limited installations policy on software, which interferes with the right to re-sell what you have bought, and for shitting all over their own employees [http://kotaku.com/025405/fear-and-loathing-at-electronic-arts].

I like Maxis, so I like EA I guess. I agree with you, some of their games seem to be trying to be creative. Although some of them aren't turning out too well.

Because they make the minimum possable kind of game, then sell it and start work on the sequal.
and they're allowed to do this because they're basically the ONLY company allowed to make NFL games.

that all by itself is a problem.

So....... The fact that they release identical games over and over, and spit in the faces of people and don't listen to them, doesn't have anything to do with this, right?

they also publish Medal of Honor which by history was kicked in the ass when 20 members of the team left to create IW and CoD.

OT- Eh I find them awesome just for the fact that they kicked Yahtzee in the "ass.........................." But Yahtzee will kick harder with a lot of rage....................................... we'll need something stronger than a flame shield if we want any hopes of surviving it o_O

Because we liked the companys like Bioware and Westwood that EA bought out, we really liked the IPs they crushed (something activision hasn't done at all, I'm sorry fanboys but they didn't change blizzard in any way that wasn't already coming), and we hate that they push games to the release before the dev is ready for it. Also all the over the top DRM and terrible ingame marketing. etc
*edit, fixed the quote*

You guys need to keep in mind that EA mostly publishes these games. They haven't made most of them.

They have made alot of games that I love, and made a lot of choices that I hate.

its 50/50 man, and yeah since Activision tried to kill brutal legend and then sued when it moved to another publisher and started looking really good, they have made the top of the douche bag list...

No wait, UBISOFT is, they made Farcry 2

DAMN YOU UBISOFT, DAMN YOU ALL TO HELL!!!

Meh. I've never seen any reason for allegiance to a company unless they seem to actually give a shit about their community like valve or bungie. EA just sort of grinds out games. Among the bland pulp you'll occasionally find a few of their games that range from slightly above average to very isolated occasions of damn good. Activision is pound for pound probably consistently better than EA, but it never seems to make any games that rise above the realms of "ok i guess." Plus they act like total dildos. I think ubisoft makes some good stuff... just sayin.

Look-- Jack the Ripper, Adolf Hitler, and Jeffery Dahmer could band together--

And if they made Brutal Legend, I would still love them.
