If it has a storyline like final fantasy I guess it kinda does. But mmo's like wow n such if the female character is cooler looking than the male no problem.
Tell that to every third person who felt I needed another option just for their demo. (9_9)HotFezz8 said:too many poll options.
y'know when you say "does blahblah bother you?", that is a yes/no question, ergo you only need a yes answer and a no answer on the poll.
Depends, if the group is 100% gamist, then it doesn't matter, since all you'll be doing is rollplay.bismarck55 said:Not at all. I've never understood why this is an issue for some people. It happens in pen & paper RPGs too sometimes.
I'm not a genetically engineered space-marine, Wizard, halfling or female in real life, why should it be an issue for only one of the four options I gave as examples?
Oh, and on the topic of Halo, how the hell do the Covenant have little merderous offspring?Strife17O7 said:I too especially admire the view...
Plus when you get done with that part, there's always an actual character underneath..unless whoever built the title was too dumb to realize such a thing was necessary.
That said...I think I could actually prefer games with Female PCs/protagonists..
Which makes me wonder why if Bungie insists on making everyone continue to play Halo games revolving almost entirely around Spartans and the UNSC(Covenant/forerunner game now, please), that they don't at least give us a more well known/interesting Spartan to kick ass with...say...Linda. Who I'd personally pick over John-117 about any day of the week.
Sorry..kindof hijacked the topic for a sec..As you were.

As long as she isn't Tomb Raider
In spite of what you may think, that is a sexual thing.elricik said:I'm male, but I actually prefer to play games as a female, and do so if I ever have the opportunity. I don't know why, its not really a sexual thing, I just like girls more than guys. The thought of a girl operating a gun and kicking ass is just cool.
Well, virtually all female video game characters are male-defined -- which means that even if Beyond Good & Evil's Jade is acclaimed as "deep" by the game's (male) fans, the problem of oversexualization won't likely be solved until more female game designers enter the fore.Ultimaja said:I play as a female (as that is what I am) but I don't often enjoy it.
Nearly every female avatar I have played to date shows every single curve they have.
Is it so hard to have a neutral-gender/modest looking female avatar?
I just want to play the game, as a female, without being called 'babe' all of the time.
