the only reason we have ratings is the idiots that would sue the gaming industry because they can't take care of their kids. these people look for the first person/thing to blame for their problems on, take ADD for example THERE IS NO SUCH THING it is just kids that their parents haven't taught them that the world doesn't revolve around them. so until the Americans learn not to sue people for everything (so blame them for the rating system)we will have the rating system.
But seriously... why not just ask your mum/dad to buy the crap for you? If they won't then just live with it and tell them thanks from Fred because they're doing their job as a parent and actually paying attention to what you put into your impressionable little skull.

I do feel that I shold be able to buy these games. And my parrents believe I am mature enough to make those decisions also. My orignal arguement is that I shouldent have to check it by corporate PR also. I believe that it is the decision of the faimly. this is unfair to the stricter side to. it is also decideing the morality in principal for them.
