Some of its strongest weakpoints include its outdated graphics, weak storyline and dry humour.
You got a point with regard to the outdated graphics, but to be honest they aren't that bad on a PC. Same for the loading times, that are around 10 secs on my computer. Sucks that they screwed the console gamers here, who not only have to pay 10$ more for their game, they also need to endure 45 sec loading screens and bad graphics.
With regard to your other two weak points, I couldn't disagree more. A bad storyline? Really? It's a Duke Nukem game. Have you played DN3D? That game has no story. At all. And the humour isn't dry either. British humour (think Monty Python) can be classified as dry. The humour in this game leans heavily towards the kind of extreme exaggeration of masculinity, sexism and general awesomeness (think Maddox). Don't know the right word for that type of humour, help me out. But regardless, I personally liked the humour. Types of humour can be pretty personal ofcourse, so you may think Duke's comments are awesome or corny, but the type of humour in DN Forever is kind of the same as in 3D as far as I remember. The game didn't disappoint me there atleast.
Don't get me wrong, I don't think it's a great game, but I certainly don't agree with you on what the game's weak points are. And I definately don't think it is the biggest gaming fail ever. That's probably your disappointment speaking.
IMO the biggest weakpoints of the game are it's very linear level design, which is very unlike DN3D, and the resulting lack of any kind of exploration. Also, the combat is mediocre, while the bossfights could be great fun at times. But this may be a bit of a spoiler, the lack of a jetpack in the campaign was kind of a letdown for me. I think the game definately has some strong points as well, such as an original take on some mechanics, such as the parts where you can grow tiny or large and get to drive all kinds of weird vehicles to solve (not well executed) platform types of puzzles.
I'd give the game a 7, or a 6 if you play it on a console. But it really isn't the worst gaming fail ever.
