Since ALL mmo's are like world of warcraft, and I've dropped world of warcraft, it would take something pretty drastic to get me back into them.

EVE isn't like World of Warcraft, just so you know. Well, it's about as far removed as you'll get from WoW if you're playing MMOs.

this poll has poor choices. I want one that says yahtzee says its bad so i dont bother
...

You're kidding, right? That's a joke, isn't it?
yes its to lame a game to play. I mean I play runescape lots of grinding and sitting its worth the 5$ a month. EVE plays itself while you not play so that kills the joy for me. i like to click and click and click for my skills not go play halo 3 then come back to find i leveled up a ton....
I...I can't even begin to argue. Not because you're right, but because it's so very very wrong. Not even wrong in the sense of me disagreeing with your opinion, wrong in the sense that what you said is actually a crime against the Universe.

You prefer the bastard abomination that is Runescape (that you're actually paying for no-less) to EVE? Absolutely mind boggling. Absolutely crazy.
meh i guess but runescape is cheaper....its a good pass time i picked up 2 years ago when i broke my shoulder and had nothing to do for 12 weeks then it grew on me......

Because Yahtzee gave it a bad review.

....

But seriously now, I'm not interested in EVE for three reasons.

1. WoW is better in many ways. (I believe someone already mentioned this)
2. I don't have the money to buy the game or the subscription fee.
3. My computer at home is ancient and couldn't run any MMO, even if it was Hello Kitty Island Adventure.

EVE sucks... period. If wanted to run a player based corporation, I'd become a small business owner, at least then I'd be getting paid for my work, not choking my money up to role play one.

My 14 day free trial though was boring as hell, I spent my time getting from lvl 1 to lvl 6 in fallout 3 while EVE lvled itself. I like to PLAY my games, not watch them do it for me.

1) I prefer WoW.
2) It costs money/month, which is more than my unemployed student ass can afford right now.
3) I don't like it.

Huh. Three reasons I guess.
Doesnt WoW cost money/month as well?

And were I currently holding an active subscription to WoW your point would be valid. As it stands I quit shortly before I moved out of my mother's house on the off chance that I wouldn't get a job quickly and wouldn't be able to support my gaming habits. As it happens, the off chance was correct.

I voted for option 2, but honestly I just don't like space games in general, space is boring, a black abyss with a few planets and stars, YAY! interesting, also the fact that you never leave your ship is something I can imagine being annoying.

Anyway WoW is better, I love customising my characters, the enviroments are nice to look at, everything about it is good, even the grind doesnt bother me that much, also my friends play and it's nice to have something to do together as alot my friends live in different towns and I'm only able to see them at weekends.

coz its a bloody boring game that even the trial ruined by giving me stuff for my ship i couldnt train in till i stopped playing the trial(seriously wtf is with that).
Also i play ffxi and guild wars whenever i want to mess around in an online game, at least in those games i have to actually do something in them other than click boxes then log out.

Dont have time to play it, hense y I like the fact I can train skills without having to grind (though still have to grind to make it isk to buy the mods/ships the skills let me use :'( )...paying a sub for a game I dont play all that often lately does raise questions though, specially as they just disabled ghost training (good thing though that was tbh).

Too complex, I play games to loosen up my brain or do some light brain work (ex. Portal)

I played wow for nearly 3 years, had enough of MMO's, they take up too much time for one video game. Besides, now i have time to play new releases. EVE i tried for about 4 months, didn't involve me to the degree WoW did, and i'm even generally a scifi fan rather than a fantasy fan. Eve i found too.. clinical, which could be a product of it's age rather than setting. It just wasn't involving.
