Loads of times, I go out all the time so it happens.
Most of the time its mindless drunks, or idiotic chavs(not sure of the American/non-English equivalent) which you can always talk your way out of.
Best bet is to act innocent, but not scared, as if you're damn sure no punches are gonna be thrown, confidence knocks them off.
Anyway never been started on by one single person, but that's for another thread aha.
So in the case of just one person, I would probably have a completely different attitude.

I've only ever been given empty threats, really, none of them have ever come to anything.

Yes. It happened right after I was mugged. One of the guys looked at me and said, "Keep walking, or I'll stab you." Needless to say, I kept walking.

Once, this guy slapped me in gym class and i slapped him back. He said he was going to come after me because i got in less trouble than he did. I just didn't let my guarde down and the kid tried a couple of times but i just scared him off.

A ton,I live in the southern of kansas,where people have more balls than a sports team in a ball pit.

Once ended in a fight,a prick name seth,who I quickly kicked in the stomach and ground and pounded the mean bastard.

After that I had little to worry about.

Yes, but I'm like 6'3" and close to 180 lbs at 15-years old... not many people will actually go through with their threats.

been threatened a few times some leading to me been beaten up n others where ive talked/bluffed my way out of it, worst threat was when one guy was holding a broken bottle towards my face n threatening to bottle me

A few times, they were never serious, they thought they could just scare me. I'm not easily frightened of threats, since they almost always are empty and the few times they're not, I can hold my own against most people.

yeah..i burnt something in the bathroom of a bar and a bodyguard came after me my 6 friends and took the youngest one (he was 14) back to the bar and wanted to call the police..i went back to rescue him. i said it was my fault..it was and he didn`t belive me and slaped me one and said one of my other friends did it `cuz he was drunker than me (btw, i was the oldest an 16)

Here`s the heroic part..he wanted to call the police on us and i told him that if he does, the bar will get closed for serving alcohool to minors, and if he hit anyone of us i would call the police on him for assault on minors..later i found out he did 3 years in prison for almost beating a guy to death

AND I STILL GO THERE TO GET DRUNK..what? 1.6$ for 1 liter of beer

A year or so ago me and the guys at work had to lock ourselves in because a muslim gang outside were going to stab us, police escorted us all to safety and got rid of the mob.

Yup once or twice. But never really to my face but instead I have heard it from friends about a guy wo said that he was going to beat me up.

A couple of times, but usually by drunken students who feel I'm responsible for their spilled drink/life's problems generally. Being short makes me look like an easy target. A mumbled apology works sometimes, refusing to back down works at others (even when about 6 inches shorter than whoever's trying to pick a fight).
However, the moment someone pulls a weapon on me, I'm gonna go with what they say. Hasn't happened yet, thankfully.

Yea one time some prankster pulled a knife out in school and held it to my neck for no apparent reason.
I'm not sure if he was joking around or not but the metal against my neck was real enough.
He's still a funny guy.

I've never been in a fight before.

Oddly enough, I'm a small guy and nobody threatens to beat me up. Perhaps the people of Leeds suddenly have a code of honour? Maybe it's because I live in the only nice area (it's the 5th most robbed area of England - that should explain how shit the rest of Leeds must be).

I once got chased across a field by some wannabe gangsters, but I was with my friends and we had a crate of beer, so that's understandable, and I once got mugged, but that wasn't a threat, nor was it personal; they were just angry, misunderstood youths (I'm hoping they have both died in a lot of pain of course).

I have been threatened over the internet however, because I insulted some guy's shirtless picture. I'm a man of integrity though - I would still do it to his face (I refuse to ever become an internet jerk - I say the exact same things I'd say in reality).
