I thought it was great, played through multiple times and bought all the dlc. Only thing I didn't really like was the main story, which I found underwhelming.
This.

It's pretty great, and in response to the old Fallout fanboys, I'll say what I've always said: THEY ARE ALL GOOD GAMES. THEY ARE JUST A DIFFERENT KIND OF GOOD. The old Fallouts are more of a traditional RPG, with stats that behave like actual stats and character creation that you actually have to think through. Fallout 3 is more of an FPS-RPG hybrid that doesn't focus too much on the aspects of either to deliver a pretty unique experience.

It's not paticularly long, if you purely follow the storyline and nothing else. Stray off the track and Theres really loads out there. It's not the most developed sub-plots in the world but hey, people liked mass effect (including me) and theres barely any subplot development in that.

It's awesome if you like the exploring mechanics.

To be honest, I found it a lot less fun than I'd thought. The main campaign was waaaaay too short, and the way it ended left me feeling short-changed, especially because you can't continue afterwards, even if you picked the evil ending. Still though, I enjoyed it a lot.
Broken steel dlc lets you continue

Its really good. Beat it on 360 but got a pc version for myself as a christmas present. Hate trudging through the lower levels.

Whoever does not like Fallout 3 is either impatient, not right in the head, or a troll. I don't like the end sequence, but it is an amazing game. It has way more soul than many of the fps these days. *cough cough COD cough*

Gotta love the music, Three Dog, and the atmosphere.

Okay, I'll admit some of the voice acting ticks me off. So does Moira Brown. That's about it lol.

Played it for a bit (out of the Vault and then a bit further) - it just didn't click like Oblivion did.

I must get this. Is it available for 360?

I personally didn't like oblivion. Fallout 3 however is one of my favourite games ever so far. I love almost everything about it. So, good game, then.

Well, yeah if you have live. Game of the Year edition comes with it but it'll cost you 800 ms points otherwise. Adds new enemies, increases level cap to 30, more main storyline.

It's my favorite game, flawed though it is.

Best time I've ever had as a gamer was my first playthrough of F3.

Really good game. Especially on the pc where mods adds a lot of extra playtime. Not as good as oblivion though.
