Oblivion was better, but Fallout 3 was still fantastic.
This is my problem with the game really. It's compared to a fantasy rpg and not the previous fallout games.

The reason Me and so many others compare it to Oblivion is because it was made by the exact same team from Bethesda (props to Todd Howard). The 2 games are extremely similar gameplay wise, which is why they are always compared. Besides the enviornment, the 2 games have a very similar look, and play a lot alike, almost exactly alike.

It's good, get it on PC if possible for mods and such. All versions are good though.
Not the best Fallout game, but a damn good game nonetheless.

It was good, but it wasn't the best RPG ever. I loved Oblivion much more.

Now wait up for me Furburt! I'm not staying here!

Awesome game, best DLC's are Broken Steel and Point Lookout in my opinion.

Why should it be compared to the other games? Oblivion and Fallout 3 are more similar.

Even tho the dlc was pretty random and didnt offer much (bar the one that actually carried on the story) I still really enjoyed it and I came to the game as a massive fan of the first 2 expecting the worst, but it still delivered and made me a happy guy :) Heres hoping for a decent Fallout MMO at some point. Elves and Dwarves have had their time in the sun, lets get some post apocolypse on.

p.s best soundtrack ever

I've probably put more than 150 hrs into it. I love it, it's just twisted, funny and above all: Moddable!

I definitely enjoyed it. I like dhow it just let the player go where they wanted. It didn't railroad them into certain areas and instead lets you explore the game at your own leisure. It's quite different from Dragon Age, for example. I seem to prefer it when an RPG follows the exploration shown in Fallout 3 and Oblivion. Sometimes I don't want to have to advance the plot to kill some people. Sometimes I just feel like murdering the crap out of some random thugs.
And whos going to miss a few raiders anyway?

Fallout 3 is a great game. I have the GOTY edition, it's only majorly glitchy if you use a save file from the original version. I'm playing it on Very Hard on a brand new file. It's a good kind of difficult, significantly less buggy, and insanely awesome.

Also, I don't care about the voice actors. I usually read everything they say and move on before they say it anyway.
