Summed up my thoughts perfectly. Though i'd also like to see Bethesda pay their QA department in more than dried peas and tissue paper.grimsprice said:I want a better magic system, and a fixed leveling system.

I'd want something new altogether, Meaning yeah a Fallout game. But, I want a new setting, we have already been to Alaska, the desert area of the western US, D.C. And philly, prob more I'm just not thinking. I would say maybe New York, but that would obviously be a big target in a nuclear war(so the fact that D.C. is still standing is amazing to me.). I'm thinking the plains area of the states, although thats obivously less building/content fillled so you might have to make some stuff up. of course you can always hit the international world, and lets see no EAstern Europe, STALKER has taken that. I'd say France maybe. The beautiful parisian hills and coasts contrasting with there new hlaf-bombed out paint coating, Of course Montenegro is also very beautiful, but I wouldn't want to go mountain climbing i left Megaton.Srkkl said:I'm stoked for New Vegas(Fallout).
You misunderstand me. I'm saying that, since Fallout was the most recent of the Bethesda games, there has been more innovation to their format. Therefore, an ES game will seem more fresh, as it will take those innovations and then some, whereas a new FO game by them might just seem like Fallout 3.5.TheDrunkNinja said:Well, when you think about it, if you want to talk about innovation in the Fallout franchise, Fallout went completely in a different direction with the third installment with a total overhaul and redesigned gameplay. I mean, we went from turn-based tactical gameplay to an action-packed RPG with FPS elements.orannis62 said:Well, that's the thing. Depressing can be good if you're in that kind of mood.ShotgunShaman said:Oblivion was so full of color and life and frolicking little woodland mammals, while Fallout was so depressing and bleak... I'm going to have to go with TES V.
While I personally preferred Fallout 3 to Oblivion (by a small margin, for the record), I think that it would be best to get the next Elder Scrolls game first. Way I see it, there's been more innovation since Oblivion than there has been since Fallout, so getting an ES game first would seem fresher.
But, in all honesty, I really feel that Fallout 3 was more of a successor to the Elder Scrolls series. Sure completely different story and setting, but they were just too similar in my book, both with hit and miss features.
So, what I'm really asking is if you want the perfect post-apocalyptic RPG or the perfect fantasy RPG.
