My favorite type of character to play, at least in Morrowind (Since I don't consider Oblivion canon in the Elder Scrolls universe) was an Imperial Agent born under the sign of the lady. What's that? 85 personality at level 1? House Hlaalu, here I come.

My favorite race would certainly be the Dunmer, though. I mean, they've got so much going on. Their main religious structure is forcing out the native culture and religion while at the same time feeding the hungry and healing the sick. Their aristocracy is either a bunch of backstabbing, greedy, yet honorable merchants and nobles, another is a house of crusading paladins, and the last are badass wizard lords that live in giant mushrooms, and that's not even the half of it.

Hell. Fucking. Yes.

Magic is fun, but nothing feels better than smashing in a skull with an axe.

Except paralyzing the enemy with magic, and then making them die slowly with a long acting Damage Health effect.

Nah, hitting them in the head with an enchanted axe is funner.

Nuh-uh! Using illusion magic to make them fight each other until there is one enemy left, and beating the last one dead with your fists is funnest.

Well, to each their own, but I prefer to kill them all myself. And a couple of allies along with them. Making them fight against each other may be tactically advantageous, and funny, but I'd rather hit them in the face. However the funniest moment I ever had in Oblivion was walking along the water at night, seeing a deer grazing, running at it at full speed, it started running away and I jumped ten feet in the air and came down on it with a punch, killing it instantly. It was at that point I realized this game is great, it let me do jackass things.

Always been fond of Argonians, myself. I also like Dark Elves, I played as one on my very first play through (I think)

Khajit all the way! lol. I'm surprised how many people picked them though.

1. They have the most awesome accent, lol.

2. They have night-eye. Blue Night-vision is great, especially in caves, because I can't see a ******** thing! (really, ended up killing people accidentally in caves due to low vision, that's when I started playing Khajit.

I like the Argonians and Khajiit; they have the most interesting NPCs in my opinion. Well, except Sheogorath from SI, but Daedric Princes aren't playable without addons.

I like Argonians the most, though. I like reptile races, they can breathe underwater, they're immune to Poison and highly resistant to Diseases, their skill bonuses are nice (at least I think they are), and there's just something really appealing about one of the least-respected races in Tamriel becoming the champion of Cyrodiil.

Stole something from another Telvanni? Make it out alive and you deserve to have it.

With a bit of class tweaking you can have a heavy armourer poison immune, water breathing and with the right enchantments imunne to disease with the argonians. I did that for fun once and wow. it's a deadly combo but it takes awhile to get the strengh up there. i prefer my mostly sneaky with a bit of magic power for my argonians.

However Orc's and nord's come in close second cause i have a fondness of warhammers and maces(especially rockshatter) and they use them the best.
