I don't mean in video games; hell, try playing through any of the earlier Resident Evil games with just the hunting knife. You can't even kill a single low-end zombie in fewer than five or six strikes, and when you get two or three descending on you, it's pretty much an exercise in failure right from the get-go. I mean in real life, which would you be more interested in collecting (or which do you already collect)? Personally, if I had the space and the money, I'd collect knives; guns are nice and all, and I know which I'd rather have if shit got real and I had to defend myself for realz, but knives have a sort of dignity that guns lack. (Of course, the other reason I don't collect knives or guns is because in my area I'd have to go to knife-and-gun shows populated by the kind of people who would unironically buy this shit right here. [http://www.trueswords.com/redneck-toothpick-p-915.html] I know you can buy on the Internet, but it's usually not a good idea to buy stuff like this sight-unseen.)

For the purpose of this thread, knives = swords. Also, I used the search bar and got nada, before anyone says it. :p

Spoons for the win!

OT: Knives seem much cooler to me then guns. And cheaper to collect then guns.

Since it's about collecting, knives. They look cool and are cheaper than guns.

Obviously though, I'd prefer a gun for self-defense.

Neither, because the UK is run by big girls.

In Happy-Make-Believe-Wishes-Land, I'd collect both, live in a nuclear bunker and be goddamn happy with it.

I don't personally own any guns. Why bother paying for them when the Army has an armory? I do own a few pocket knives and a KA-BAR.

Well if by "Knife" you mean anything with a sharp edge, then I'd go with knives, in collecting and video games, after all, knives have "unlimited ammo".

Oops I voted before I knew knives = swords.

I was a pretty damn good epee fencer, so yeah, swords all the way.

Now if I could just tie a deagle to the blade near the hilt close enough that I can pull the trigger with the hand holding the sword...

EDIT: What is so wrong with un-ironically buying that "redneck toothpick"? Besides the name, it looks like a f--king awesome knife!

I gotta go with knives. Not because I'm a big macho man, but because I've just never seen the appeal of guns. But as per my profession, I kinda need knives to do my job. Started with a Chef's knife and expanded from there, just because they're tools. I don't collect them for any personal desire, but merely because having the correct knife for the job makes life so much easier. Oh, and my Titanium spork with the handle tip sharpened slightly, rendering all other silverware completely superflous? Yeah, beats any gun or knife, hands down, if only in my own brain.

Guns, I would rather have several fully automatic rifles at my side when the zombies come a callin.

I prefer swords, so thats big knives?

Still prefer knives as they can be far more decorative than a gun can (as the functionality of a gun hinders sections of its operation)

Plus I dont have a license

I actually collect both. I even have a really nice combat knife (A wonderful gift from my grandfather) which doubles as a bayonette for my Lee Enfields.

Excuse me, sir, what you are after is called a Gunblade. Search any cosplay website and you may find one.

Also both, because while guns are superior in stopping things, you don't have to reload knives/swords. Alway be prepared.
