My XBOX 360 Elite. When I first got it, it worked fine. Then after 2 or 3 years, overheating became a problem, then the red ring of death. Then, I had to pay for an Xbox 360 Arcade, which still gladly works after one year.

But I know it will die eventually.

The Gamecube I have from 2001 still runs excellently. Like all products of its ilk, it is made of Nintendium. Why oh why did I get rid of my Nintendo 64 ;_;

Yeah, I bought one of the first PS2's and it died after two years. I fixed it for about a week with the top off but it died for good. I now have a slim and its working well, I just worry about the heat comming off it.

My first 360 RROD'ed on me after like 2 or 3 years, so I sent it away and got it fixed, but then earlier this year it died again. Something with solder getting on the graphics card or something. So I decided getting an Arcade with an extended warranty was better than paying half as much on repairs with no guarantees. Now the old one makes a nice stand for the new one when I have it in my room.

My PS1 died in about '06 after about 8 years of faithful service, and my Sega MegaDrive/Genesis stopped working in around '03, after having bought it used about 8 years before.

My 360 lasted almost 3 years before suffering the RROD. I sent it to get it repaired, and got it back a week later. It has worked just fine ever since then.

When we went to play it on his xbox 360 it came up the measage "If you whish to play this disc, please insert this into a xbox 360 console...." it was so funny, but my friend was shitting him self becouse he thought his xbox broke, but it didn't, but it was still bloody funny

Yes, 5 times in total.
I bought a Ps3 back in 2007 and within the first year it broke down 2 times but the repairs cost me nothing but gaming time. Then 1 and 1/2 years later I got the YLOD it cost me 145 Euros. Then again 7 months later I got a message that it was overheating but since the air coming out the back was cool I figure I should contact Sony again. As it turned out it was "something serious" as they told me.
Then again when I got back the console and started playing again, it broke down again (about 10 hours after I got it back). I send it to Sony yet again and after a week, I got it back but now I couldn't download anything I had purchased from PSN because I had reached the maximum number of consoles for this account.
I contacted Sony again and they gave me a number to contact in England. When I tried to call this number it wasn't working, so I send an email to Sony UK and notified them about my PSN problem but they couldn't do a thing. So, after a week of e-mail conversations, I finally got a local number I could call to solve my problem. As it turned out it was my local Sony. I informed them (again) about my PSN problem and the said yet again "we can't help you" to which I replied "Are you fucking kidding me?" to which the technician replied "Sorry sir, we'll see what we can do."
10 minutes later everything was working perfectly fine. It only took them 10 minutes... It only took them 10 minutes. It only took them 10 minutes!!! THOSE LAZY BASTARDS!!!

I can't hope enough for my ps3 to not brake down again.

Only one; my 360.

It lasted a grant total of 5 years before finally Red Ringing, which is like ancient for a 360.

*salutes* You won't be forgotten buddy. I might get it repaired, but honestly, I can't be bothered.

Nope, but at a friends house, his 360 broke almost as soon as he tried to play a game.

That doesn't really encourage me to get a console.

I've had two fail me. The first was my PS2 which happened to a lot of people. Sony made a horrible disc reader and it failed, but at least they redeemed themselves by making the ones after it reliable. My 360 currently has be reset around 20 times to convince it that the disc inside of it is not, in fact, a movie, but a game that a very pissed off gamer wants to play. It's really insulting when the DVD drive in my PC is older than both of these systems and still works.

My NES still works, my Super NES still works, my N64 still works, my PSX still works. Damn quality controls going down hill. It's enough to want to make me just say, "fuck it" and get an emulator.

Oh Xbox 360 you never liked me did you? All the 360s I owned all died from the RRoD, none of them lasting more than 4 months. I think it happened to me a total of 5 times.

None of my consoles died on me, ever.

Then again, I'm glad I never bought a 360. Those things seem to be designed to self-destruct at regular intervals...

My PS3 broke after 2 years, doing the beep-beep-beep thing. My 360 is still okay, though I've had it for half the time.
