Way back when The Sims first came out and I was playing it religiously I got into the habit of equating tasks and needs in my life with the "Sim" status bars.

i.e. "I need to refill my hunger bar."

Luckily this passed rather quickly.

Sometimes when I accidentally break something, I'm hoping there is a quickload bottom, but there rarely is, sadly.

After playing CS for a few years, I would always be in the state of battle. I wouldn't act on it, but I always think about where I'd go for cover, where I'd throw grenades, stuff like that..

Oh, and back when WoW was actually fun, and balanced, I played a rogue. I'd play like 8 or so hours a day doing battlegrounds with pre-made groups, we'd run the same battleground over and over, the same strategy. I would be back at the base watching the flag (stealthed), and I'd hear who was coming in from a teammate, or see them coming down the hall, peering around the corner solid snake style and prepare myself whichever way to fight the opposing player. High Warlord, shiny daggers and what not. Easily the most fun I've ever had in a video game.

Anywho, this all has a relevent point that still plays tricks on my mind to this day. If I'm in a room, and someone comes in and like.. startles me, I'd go through the same little thought process of what class it is, and what I should do. Quickly, subtly, I'd notice myself thinking about it. I still do it. I'm strange.

A little after the release of COD 4, I was playing a massive paintball match in these woods, and some guys and I were trying to swing around the side of some people on the other team to try and flush them out of where they were hiding. So, we're creeping up on them, when we hear a yell and gunshots. I got pegged in the stomach like seven times. I went prone and my buddy Jason asks me if I was alright, and I just told him that I just needed a health pack, and I'd be good. He looked at me and I just said "Oh... right..."

Based a WW2 paper on info from call of duty a few yers back, and got an 80%!
That must have been a hoot. "The victory at Pegasus Bridge owes much to the Wehrmacht policy of only sending one tank at a time to attack the '88 position."

Does Sibelius count? Because if it does, I've made a mistake writing music, and I instinctively thought "Ctrl + Z"! Then it hit me...

I just spent a couple weeks at 29 Palms in California. For those who don't know it's a Marine base basically in the middle of no where. Essentially the Army, who had the area first, deemed it unlivable and the Marines said "It's perfect!". LOL My brother's a Marine on his way out so all us brothers flew down and had a good time at his place.

Anyway, while we were there he recently bought Fallout 3, and he and his wife were playing any chance they could. I had been playing it since it came out. But anytime we left the house to go anywhere, the terrain in the area looked just like post-apocalyptic Washington, DC. Right down to the run down random trailers spotting the landscape. We'd joke that we wanted to go loot the places before the raiders showed up. It was pretty eerie how much the place looked similar.

After playing Oblivion for months, completing every quest there is and manually discovering every place to discover, I found myself double-taking whenever I hear a sound that resembled a sword being drawn.

I was sleeping over at my friend's house after playing Gears of War 2 for hours, and his dog came up and started clawing at my head and I thought "Oh shit a Wretch!" and then I woke up.
