Poll: How do you mark your place in a book?

As an avid reader, I have many bookmarks.

But, I've been using the bookmark my boyfriend got me. <3

I memorize the page number.

What? It's not that hard.

I've tried that several times, though it always ends up the same way. I get side tracked and then a month or so later, I come back and think, "Wait. Where the hell was I again."

It doesn't mean the book I am reading at the time is bad, it just means I have too much shit that I like to do, and whatever whim of what I feel like doing, is what I do. So, my feeling of wanting to sit down an read a book, might not come back for quite some time.

Bookmark, making a dog ear (Though admittedly, not often on my own books or books that I've borrowed from friends) or even memorizing the page number. All depends. *Shrugs*

The flaps of a hard covers book jacket make for a great bookmark. Otherwise dog ears and makeshift bookmarks.

I dog-ear my books... best way to do it... and multiple people can do it by having a specific corner per person

I either use a bookmark of some kind, or I stop reading at easily-memorable pages. (e.g. the end of a chapter)

I use a bookmark. Books cost money and I like my stuff to last as long as possible. People that fold the corner of a page into a little dog ear aren't even allowed near my books, let alone being allowed to even touch them.

With a ribbon. Plastic/carboard Bookmarks don't last as long and are too rigid.
