Anyway, as some of you might know, I went to an anime convention in June with a group of my friends. Well, apparently it's difficult to talk about anime in my group without hentai being brought up (no idea why, we're just weird like that). But it seems we can't agree on how it's pronounced. Half of my group (myself included) believe it's pronounced "hen-tie", while the other half think it's "hen-tay". I have heard both used, so I'm not looking for which one is "correct", per se. I'm more wondering which is more common.

I always said "Hen-tay". Don't care if it's wrong, I'm going to keep pronouncing it like that. Plus even if I wanted to I don't use/see/hear it enough to get used to pronouncing it differently.
