Should the media have shown you the CCTV footage as now many people now have a great idea for robbing an apple store? or any store with lots of glass?
You say that like smashing a window to break in to a building to rob it has never been thought of before.

What I meant was that most Apple stores are identical and this could be applied to almost any of them

They better write a thank you letter to Cupertino, thanking the designers for making those MacBooks light enough to carry 21 of them.

Wear a mask, break glass, and grab as many items in the fastest time possible.

This ain't excactly brain surgery here. It's not as if they're showing us anything too sophisticated.

Serves Apple right for charging 2-3k for their overpriced laptops. *grumblegrumble*

Anyways meh. A typical Smash and Grab. Kinda of wierd that they didn't have those metal grate gates in a mall. All the Apple stores here have those metal gates that they close when the mall closes for the day. A simple gate like that would have stopped this.

stolen car, no license plates, masks, ram raid the heck out of that store, steal whatevers not broken/bolted down, get out of there, hop into a getaway car. Break down the things into components, sell out of country/state. Burn/sell the old car. Job done and your a bit richer.
It wasn't a complex plan - but to co-ordinate it takes planning, plus they were all precise about it. You make it sound easy, they just made it look easy
Step 1: Break window.
Step 2: Run in a straight line, picking up everything that's laid out on tables.
Step 3: Run out.

Not really a co-ordination masterpiece.

Tho that's about it. Oh they have a "User-friendly interface" which basically means, big shiny animated icons doing silly things.
but i digress, this thread will turn into Mac V Pc if we're not careful
I'm a graphic designer and photographer, and I prefer my PC over a Mac any day.

People who know that idiotic college kids will buy a Macbook just because they've been awed by a marketing campaign.

I have seen computer stores in new york that with the lowered down metal doors, they got locks on all their equipment. I have seen stores in pennsylvania with the same thing minus the metal doors. I'm just wondering after watching that just how large their insurance claim is going to be.

There was a story over here about a couple of crooks that used a semi to literally knock over an amored car after a daily run from a bank. When that hit the local news here, lots of people have said that it seems the obvious way to easily rob that type of van. I just suprised they didn't just use a van.

Why didn't this store use the heavier impact resistant glass?

That what pretty hilarious. The commentator was great.
Agreed...
Personally I am a windows fan, but can see the validity of macs for "artsy" things. BUT, mac goes way over he top on promoting the "we're so pretty" concept and this kinda is just desserts...

The commentary on that video was just awful. How can they pay that guy to be a news anchor?

Its funny how the announcer speaks about the break in and talks about how skilled and thought out the robbery was.

Also, that security guard is so gonna get fired..

Seriously, who would want to rob an Apple store?

Oh wait, that'll teach Apple to fuck with their customers. Hah!
Agreed. I consider this someone else getting back at Apple for selling me that faulty ipod and refusing to refund a few years back.

Yeah I wonder what the announcer is like when he comes across a story about a victim being shot in the face?

"Wow, look at the precision as he shoots that man's head clean off. Lets watch that in slow motion..."
