My last name, Fitzgerald, is pretty common where I live. But the funny thing is, more people know how to spell it than my first name, which has half as many letters and no Z.

I'm pretty much the only Baldado on the American mainland, but apparently it's really common in the Philippines and I've got a huge extended family in Hawaii. It means "crippled".

Mine is Sá, its somewhat uncommon in Portugal, no idea of what its etymology is however.

Barry. I put "fairly unique" as I've come across quite a few other people with the surname Barrie, but none that end in a y.

Mine's Michaloski. It's incredibly rare here in the Southern US. People struggle with it all the time.
It is actully pronounced Moo-sh-ie
