are you from a conservative family ? My parents were always quite direct about sex. They no shame about it, after all it's just sex. But I'm from Canada and my parents are quite liberal on most subjects.

I found out through my dad's porn stash.
If I ever have kids, I'd likely gradually introduce them into it...
AT NIGHT WHEN THEY'RE ASLEEP!
Through subliminal messages, of course.

I won't give my kids the talk because I won't have kids. Assuming I will actually have kids then I'll just explain it a way they can understand if they're under the age of 11 or so. After 12 they'll probably know more about sex than I do.

I don't plan on having kids any time soon but if I did i'd make it as awkard and strange as possible incorperating figgerpuppets, atleast 2 car chases and multiple explosions.

When my dad tried to explain it, he did so over several months in increasing levels of detail, each being slightly less than what I had discovered on my own by that point.

With the way things are going, we probably won't be allowed to give "the talk" to our kids for some stupid reason, like we aren't qualified. Sad yet most likely true.

Before the age of 13 but after 9 or so, I'll just tell them straight out. No "When a man loves a women" bullsh*t. I'll tell them what sex is, why people do it, and how its done.

After 13 I'll just say "You go to public school right?" "Yes? Well then you probably know more than me about it"

If i get a girl, it's her problem to talk about it, when it's a boy i'll tell em.
I wont care if he is 4 or 14 years old, when the question comes i'll explain it to him.
Maybe i should set up a special fund, yaknow, that can pay for a abortion....

I think I'll just let mine find out for themselves, really. I did, and I turned out fine.
I mean, if they ask me a question, fair enough I'll answer it. Other than that, I don't really think kids need talking to about it anymore.

i'll just go about it slow..from the beginning (4 million b.c?) and hopefully ,by the time i get to why condoms will save your life and why you shouldn't put them on your head but your other head ,they won't fall asleep or run off to have unprotected sex with 70 year old pedophilic strangers.

I found out on my own, which was fine and all, but I just want my son to hear about it from me instead of someone pervert. When he is old enough I'll talk to him about it, and if he has any questions before then I'll tell him the truth. Seems simple enough.

I think that's one talk I'll leave to good old wikipedia.

Or whatever has managed to replace it by the time I get around to having kids.

I guess i'll just try to explain it to them the best I can when the time comes, or I could just let them figure out in health class like I did, but that would just make me feel like a jackass.

I never intend to keep it a secret from them. I'm sure they'll ask questions when they're around 6 and watching a movie, and I see no problem with giving them a straight answer. My kids aren't stupid. If anything they've got the potential to be smarter than me.

If they don't know about it by the age of 7 then their not my kids. So I wont be telling them anything.

TV nowadays learn kids about sex, I myself didn't need that awkward talk, or maybe I have suppressed it from my mind :p
