Anyone sick of this? Anyone sick of people using "2" as a substitute for "to," as well as other substitutes like "u" and "ur"? I'm not talking about web acronyms like "lol" or "brb," (I use those too) but just the people who even flat out claim that just because they're on the internet, no spelling and grammar rules apply.
Recently, I had an encounter on Team Fortress 2 with some kid who pretty much thought he was cool, and thought he was a great troll, but he couldn't spell or type anything grammatically correct to save his life, which I pointed out; which then lead him to reply with the excuse: "dis is tha internet, not scool" or something like that.
What with the internet becoming more and more a part of our daily lives, and even going into our school life; I feel like if this excuse becomes the norm, it's only just going to get worse for them, and it's downright insulting to those who don't use this as an excuse for misspellings.
