PC in a heartbeat. Better graphics, better controls, better online capabilities. Why would you NOT want to play on a PC? If you really want to use your console controller, then you can use a program like joy2key or pinnacle game profiler to map the game to your controller. So come on console players, change your answer because your sole reason to play on a console is now moot.
Yeah, but I want to play my games on my awesomely huge TV screen.
You can do this with a PC.
I love playing split screen.
Ew, why?

PC for sure. Much better controls, so you can play anything. :D RTS fails on console most of the time. And FPS are better on PC. Plus, it's much easier to mod games on PCs, since people just create the programs if they aren't already out, so there would be so much additioanl content. :D

Id say PS3, because the graphics really are the best. I only got a 360 because of the cost and because of Halo 3. The only problem I see is if I wanted to play strategy games which undoubtedly the computer is the absolute best at.

I'd be inclined to say PC. I'd say PC anyways because the consoles will continue to adapt and change, the Wii won't make it past 2012, whereas PCs will be a viable gaming consol for quite a while. Even if you had to upgrarde it, you would still have the ability to move forward without buying an entirely new system.

I still stand by my opinion that all games have their own place on either a console or a PC, so I can't make one choice over another in that way. I have, however, voted for PS3, because they're just nice to use.

Your question has very little merit because the conditions given discard most of the distinctions between the devices. If all games are avilable, all gimicks are available, all additional content is available and they are all free, then for the purposes of the question, there is little upon which to base a conclusion.

That said, my choice would be a PC. I have ALWAYS prefered playing games on PC and, on the occasion that I do not, it is because the softare is not available or my social circle has chosen to play on a console.

Of course, if we look at the consoles themselves, the reasons for purchasing one platform over another have essentially disappeared. All we have left is basic controller design (where I prefer the 360), network (the 360 is the most robust and the least free, PSN is free but less robust than XBL, nintendo's network can be said to exist and is also free but I have thus far seen little value), and value added features (PS3 wins because of blue ray drive, 360 is next and Wii comes in a distant last since there isn't much it can do besides play games).
in the way you describe it, I would have to agree. However, I was doing this from a quality of service standpoint. My theory is that with a levelled playing field, the ONLY deciding factor is quality of service. For example, if you have the choice of buying a product, say a high-quality headset costing £120 from one of two companies (and yes, they can cost that much), you would obviously go for the company that offers the best quality of service; for example, my headset could have been purchased cheaper, but the more expensive supplier I chose from has a far better tech support system. Likewise, there is a level playing field here. The only deciding factor is your choice in the matter. It is an equal oppurtunity setup. So, from this standpoint, the factor is your personal preference. As Yankeefan said, he only got a 360 because it was cheaper and because of Halo 3. Yet if the field was levelled, we'd have a PS3 user. This was to show just how different everything would be IF the field was level. Offering the systems for free eliminates the budget constraint, which is what many would factor in when purchasing a console. And when you say 'They are all free' are you referring solely to the console or all the games as well? I was referring solely to the entertainment system. In short, what I wanted to do here was bring the console wars down to personal preference, much like your choice of a PC over the other options.

I'd say the PC would win for me. The other systems does have their strong points thought.
The ps3 have a nice contoller and is easy to connect to your A/V system but loses points to not having the same flexibilty as a pc.
The wii is very small which makes it easy to find a good placement for it in your tv bench, it loses several points due to the fact that the wii mote come with a slight delay which makes it a no go in action oriented titles.
The 360 as the ps3 is very easy to hook up to your tv and surround system but loses some points for not having bluetooth and a god awful sound level.
The only downside I can see to the pc is the fact that you need to spend a lot of money to get a good gaming system. But the cost flaw is easily neglected by all the other strong points with a pc system.
