Ummm would it be a sin to not vote for him?

I feel like there might also be some sort of predestination about it all. I might not vote for him just because...

Yeah why not. Here's an interesting questions though... Lets say he's not independant, which would Jesus be? Rebublican or Democrat?

I would totally vote for him, if he stories that have been told were true. But if he would come, i don't think we wouldn't even get to vote for it.

Well... let's think about this one logically. If it is indeed Jesus himself running, then God is running. God is knows everything and is all powerful. Therefore, no matter what decision Jesus would make as president... it would be the right one.

I really don't see how you couldn't vote for him.

And if Christ really did return, then this wouldn't be a question of religious faith and belief anymore... it would simply be a question of accepting fact.

he doesnt qualify for president, seperation of church and state
thats not a very strong separation, all presidents have been Christians.
Jesus may be worshipped but is not a part of the church and even if he was, so what? Mike Huckabee is a minister and he ran/is running for president. The separation is more of limiting policy and law possibilities than excluding people from participating in government.

As long as Jesus was trying to live according to the teachings attributed to him, I wouldn't object to him showing up, but I think that religion and the state need to be firmly separated.

That said:

If Jesus came back to fight historical baddies, I'd be waiting for every twitter update, and I think twitter is a pointless waste of mankinds' potential.

I don't think god makes all the right decisions. Before I go any further, I am not religious and I am not intending to offend anyone.

My way of looking at it is that any God like being that does exist is more likely to be a spoilt child than a benevolent father, putting human beings and other creatures in a cruel world just to watch them fall over themselves in the same way that a computer game player might spawn NPCs just to see them kill each-other.

I would not vote for anyone who creates entire worlds for the purpose of tormenting the inhabitance.

Well, if the he did, he would have to exist, and if it had to matter, he would have to prove that he was truly gods son jesus christ, and not just some dude faking it.
If he could do that, and it was actually gods son, who ran for president, it would be proof of the existence of god and proof of teh christian relegion, and i would prolly have to change my views regarding relegion.

But is he actually existed and was gods (who by default would also exist/have existed if his son did) son, i'd prolly vote for him, anything else would be stupid, cause if he and god exists hell exists as well, and i doubt god would wanna let anyone in if they voted against his son (his a spiteful unforgiving bastard, read old testament if you doubt me) and i wouldn't wanna go to hell...

I think most people would vote for Jesus if there was no shadow of a doubt that he was indeed THE Jesus.

If it was someone who said they were THE Jesus I wouldn't vote for him on the grounds that he is clearly insane.

If he was Jesus but didn't advertise himself as such then I would vote for him but I doubt the Majority would because Jesus was clearly Socialist.
