You can't play video games with one arm. So I pick the leg.

But in all seriousness, I'd probably ask the person what they'd rather lose. If your hobbies include painting, gaming, cooking, etc than you'd rather keep your arms. But if you like sports and physical activity, etc then you're gonna want your legs. Me personally, I value my arms much more than my legs.

I flipped heads, so he loses a leg.

I mean, since I'm being FORCED, there really isn't much I can do about it. Most guilt free way to do it was with the flip of a coin...

I would cut off their leg. Prosthetic legs are much easier to use and better (due to the complicated nature of grasping objects, using individual digits, etc) than prosthetic arms.

Well, since I personally would prefer getting my legs cut off (I would miss them, but at least I could still play video games, watch the internet, write, masturbate etc), I would hope that he felt the same way.

Not really sure why but if I were in that situation I would rather be able to walk around normally and have limited stuff I could do with my arm than be in a wheelchair and have full arm use. (I have nothing against wheelchair users)

You are being forced by powers greater then your own to cut off a man's limb. An arm, or a leg. Both are perfectly healthy, and they will get to keep their second, but their life will change no matter what you cut off. He's asleep, and does not know about the choice, so you are not allowed to ask him.
Define "forced".

Leg, I'd miss my leg but I would die without an arm, without info to the contrary I'd have to assume the same of the other, unless I knew they loved running I guess.

leg, why would you ever consider that more important then an arm? Besides isn't it close to impossible to make a 100% working arm but kinda easy for an leg?
A fair few people do everything one handed anyway, quite a few people REALLY like being able to walk.
A leg may be easier to replace, but the ability to run is not.

leg
Prosthetic legs are cheaper, easier to adjust to, and are much less prone to malfunction then a fake arm.
Also, removing someone's hand, one of the main ways humans feel their world (blindfold someone. What do they stick out first?), I think it would be infinetly more cruel to remove an arm then a leg.
And why the hell am I forced to remove someone's appendage?
If it's a 127 hours type deal, he can stay there (think the 127 hours guy was an idiot, Darwin awards and whatnot)

You can run/walk with a prosthetic. However, you can't paint with a hook

ADA regulations have made the world a widely traversable place, even for those who have lost a leg. That's mainly what we use 'em for, just the good ol' bipedal locomotion. But we use our arms/hands/fingers to write, type, cook, play musical instruments, make love, program, draw, design and engineer.

Based on your wording, I really don't have a choice, do I? So, why pretend to feel any guilt over my answer? Which is, by the way, the leg. The leg because I would hate to live without the use of both my arms/hands.

A leg can have something attached to it, like those springs. but losing an arm is hard cos then you cant pick up as much and everything. at least you can still do stuff i guess with one leg. you see athletes with only 1 or no legs but they have the springs to help them. with one are it's probably going to be harder in life.

Initially I think arm. But he can still have a fake leg right? Provided the guy isn't an athlete runner or something, the legs gotta go.

Why? I figure hands are harder to replace and what if Im cutting off his jackoff hand? So cruel....

Arms are pretty important, mostly for the intricate and sensitive little appendages connected to them that we call "hands." In fact, if it weren't for hands, the human race would still be just animals, because hands are what allow us to make tools. A person who can't walk can still be extremely useful and productive if they can work with their hands, and, personally, I'd rather lose my legs than lose my arms, so that's the choice I'd make for someone else if some sick fuck were to force me to make this kind of decision in real life.

Due to various sporting injuries which thankfully healed I've spent time on crutches and with my arm in a sling and I wouldn't wish losing an arm on anyone.

With my arm in a sling I was still mobile and able to move around but with my dominant arm in a sling there wasn't a thing I could do once I got to where I was going. No videogames and no sports meant that all I could do was sit, watch tv and eat. It's a small wonder I didn't get fatter than I did!

In my own experience I regretted the inability to use an arm much more than I ever did being unable to use a leg.

I would have to chose the leg because it is quite easy to replace a leg while an arm is much more difficult because there are so many joints in your fingers and arm while there are only 3 in your leg.

Shit he's gonna be awake real soon.

I'd pick a leg. Living in a wheelchair or with a prosthetic leg is much better than being without an arm.

I'd amputate his leg. He can get a prosthetic, which would be better than a prosthetic arm, because really, how often do you seen people needing to bend their toes?

I would examine the man. If he has strong well defined arms and legs, I would take the arm, because he is obviously a man who likes being physically active. If he doesn't, he probably likes more intellectually based activities, or at least ones that don't involve physical movement. It's important to note that if he has calluses.

also, it it were a woman I would cut one of her tits off instead, and scrawl "welcome to the Daughters of the Amazon" in blood on her wall. Hopefully someone reading this will get that reference.

with a leg, you can easily attach an artificial one
sure it's not the same as the real thing
and you'll never walk particularly smoothly again
but so long as they have one healthy one at least it's a possibilty

wheras arms are far more important
artificial arms + hands don't restore anywhere near as much of the original function as an artificial leg does
there's more mobility in a hand

so a leg would have to go
