I can't think of a shooter that I enjoy more than Threadspace Hyperbol. If you haven't, try the demo on steam, not enough people play it (and when I say that I mean nobody does).

Doesn't that work the other way as well? Seeing as Half Life is also considered the other overrated FPS game that everyone gives praise to. Not saying that Half Life is terrible though.

Since TimeSplitters 2 has aged horribly and the original Half-Life (while good) has also aged, my choice is really between TimeSplitters 3 and Half-Life 2 (plus episodes 1, 2 and Forever... har har.)

They're both good... Half-Life 2 is well made and has a wonderful atmosphere, while TimeSplitters 3 is humorous and doesn't take itself too seriously...

I'll call it HL2 for singleplayer, TS3 for multiplayer.

Never played unreal tournament bar the new one and that was shit
Quake was alright, too brown though
and I never got the chance to play through time splitters but I heard from a lot of people it was very good

I have to go with Condemned. It was seriously an amazing series that i hope they continue.

Ammunition rare, insane bums, beating people with a fireaxe, and then snapping theyer neck Norris Style. Its all to perfict.

Actually I like Halo the best (Yeah bash me all you want). Mainly because I set unrealisticly high standards for some of the "game classics" like Half-Life and Doom, and I never even tried quite a bunch of the names on this list.
