I can't imagine myself playing from my bed. Hell I can barely stand just browsing the net from bed and I rarely ever do it, only if I'm tired as hell and chatting with someone or if I'm sick and bedridden.

No offense dude, but you might want to move a bit. I feel guilty enough with my ass in my (awesome, comfortable office) chair all the time, spending all that time in a bed instead would just end in a major case of bed sores.

Also, even if it was a benefit of some sort, yes, PC gaming would still be worth it for me. I can't stand console controls and having everything smashed together in the few buttons on a controller and the lack of a mouse are a major, MAJOR downside for me.

If you're into it, cool, no offense, everyone's got their preferences, but I'm just in love with PC controls :)

Let's face it, PC gaming is uncomfortable.
I could have stopped reading right there.
This is ENTIRELY, 100% subjective.
Just because you have a bad posture, poor ergonomics, shitty gear or whatever, it doesn't mean everyone else does.

Also, playing games while lying down is bad.
It'll fuck up your spine.
Source please?
Why would gaming while lying down be worse than lying down on it's own?
I'm gonna have to call bull on that one.
At what point did he say it's worse?

edit: scuse the double post, but copying quotes doesn't notify the quoted person. And to put more substance into the post:

It's as bad (at the very least) and yes, even potentially worse due to the position you'd take when playing from bed (or are you telling me you've got a screen stuck to your ceiling not requiring you to lean onto something when playing?).

Just because you aren't laying down on a couch doesn't mean your uncomfortable.

It just means you aren't laying down on a couch.

You do have a valid point here. It starts to get really uncomfortable sitting in a chair for a long time, starring at a bright screen. With consoles I can kick back on the couch and watch my game on the tv.

Don't forget you can buy xbox 360 controllers for computers, so that really shouldn't be a problem.

Though microsoft like to be awkward so an xbox 360 controller meant for xbox 360s won't work on a computer and vice versa, even though they both use USB sockets.
That's actually not true. I'm using a regular 360 controller instead f the "Made For Windows" kind.

So the act of sleeping causes permenant injury to the spine?
News to me.
I don't really have to lean on anything(no celing screen though, my eyesigths too bad for that) the way I lie leaves my back pretty straight, straighter than it would be if I were sitting at any rate, but then I don't sit or lie like normal people anyyway, so it could just be me.

Get a better chair then...Also lying down on your stomach isnt very good for your posture if your head is staring at a screen the whole time.

wait, out of all the reasons to not play on the pc you choose this? Then again I always hate being right next to my bed and unable to use my computer in said bed.

Best thing to do is get a chair with a recline feature and a hard armrest for your wireless mouse and then you get a board you can put on your lap (or held on the armrests depending on what style chair you get) where you can keep your food, wireless keyboard and drink. A turn-able capability is also good. Then you can use the computer from any angle.

I feel that steam has really helped the computer gaming population while there is no real comparrison with console gaming.

I do believe, good sir, that your poll is heavily infested with bias.

The "no" answer seems designed to make console gamers seem slovenly.

Sorry, I really don't mean any offense by this, it's just a phrase, but are you being intentionally thick? Cause I never mentioned sleeping for a moment, much like the poster you previously quoted never mentioned it being worse, creating the same situation twice and leading me to think you're intentionally trying to pull an argument out of nowhere, and what we're talking about is some pretty basic general knowledge to begin with so I'm starting to get a feeling that you're just trolling (and the OP isn't really screaming otherwise).

But to humour you, yes. Lying in bed all day when you're not sleeping is unhealthy to your spine. Sort of like taking pain killers when you're not in pain, taking antibiotics when you're not sick is bad for your health and performing defibrillation on a person who's heart is beating fine is not generally recommended, even if they are used for good purposes at other times.

Sitting all that time isn't great either, but yes, it is better than lying down. It's generally why people sit more than than lie down when they're not sleeping or ill (or well, having sex or doing other activities that necessitate or are better/more easily/commonly performed while lying down).

I used to get neck aches trying to lay in bed and use consoles.

And ive never been uncomfortable in a computer chair (Keep in mind this thing was only $45)

All bias aside, it seems your generalizing that all people are as uncomfortable as you, and would prefer to lay down.

There's no option for "I don't find it uncomfortable" because I don't, the only time I'm ever uncomfortable whilst gaming (Both console and Pc) is when my hands are cold.
same or when i have gas o_o... or when im sick and i have congestion

I got a nighttable sitting right at my right arm, so i have absolutely no problem playing on my Laptop in my bed (including FPS games).

So in short: No discomfort.

I used to console game from my computer chair when I lived out of one room so... I guess consider that a paradox or something. Strange poll but yes... you should look into a more comfortable chair; who plays games while laying down, anyhow?
