I meant that is a reply to the whole Peter Molyneux-bashing movment who is growing at a alarming rate.Valentine82 said:What does that have to do with anything?Shycte said:He does his job, very well. I seriously don't see the problem. No onne is forcing you to buy his games. So if you don't think that they will live up to the hype, then just don't buy the game.
Problem solved!
Oh yes that's quite the comeback there. He has it out for himself? Seriously?Naheal said:Peter Molyneux has it out for himself.DrDeath3191 said:Another one? You really seem to have it out for Mr. Molyneux.
I think we have reached an agreement. Good day to you sir!Valentine82 said:CHEESE CAKE!Shycte said:CHEESE CAKE!!!
1)If your going to make threads like this then pick another topic. Peter Molyneux does not have a strangle hold on the industry. Actually scratch that. I don't want anymore threads that even closly resemble your past work.Valentine82 said:I have a history of three threads that have to do with Peter Molyneux, one was just to see what people would do, one was for serious discussion, and this one's just for fun. I only use PM because he's a big name in the industry and he has a history that many already know, and also because he's working on Fable 3 putting him in the public mind more.maddawg IAJI said:1) Just as a person uses evidence to explain his arguement I use your previous thread as evidence. I am simply using it to prove my point of you having a history with Anti-Peter Molyneux threads.
But it would be so much less fun!maddawg IAJI said:2)The Yes or No and possible maybe would have sufficed. Joke options don't offer any discussion and are actually a pet peeve of mine.
Deception is a form of manipulation.maddawg IAJI said:5)Then it's not maniuplation. You can't manipulate if you have no control over them.
Or giving the impression that he exaggerates the contents of his games.maddawg IAJI said:6)You bolded. Giving people the Idea that he does in fact gloat about it.
You misinterpreted my thread, not your opinion of it.maddawg IAJI said:9)How can I misinterept my own opinon.
Well that contributes nothing. I have violated no rules in any event, so reporting me doesn't really solve anything.GrinningManiac said:Good god, what are you, ten?
Actually, I feel bad for all the clever, thoughtful ten-year olds I've met.
Including Ashley. Damn that kid is awesome. Awesome 'fro too
Reported, and Ash hates you
You seem to be barking up the Peter Molyneux tree quite a lot lately. It's almost as if he has wronged you on a personal level.Valentine82 said:I vote Cheese Cake! This isn't a Peter Molyneux rant, and I'm not accusing him of being a narcissist. But I have seen others do so on the internet, and it made me think, wouldn't a Narcissist love Good Games, especially games like Black and White and Dungeon Keeper? Keep in mind though, that not everyone who has these tendencies is a Narcissist, and most people have some or several. I don't think PM is a Narcissist because I don't think he meets the full criteria, but the things that make me think of him are in Bold.
Believing that you're better than others
Fantasizing about power, success and attractiveness
Exaggerating your achievements or talents
Expecting constant praise and admiration
Believing that you're special
Failing to recognize other people's emotions and feelings
Expecting others to go along with your ideas and plans
Taking advantage of others
Expressing disdain for those you feel are inferior
Being jealous of others
Believing that others are jealous of you
Trouble keeping healthy relationships
Setting unrealistic goals !!!
Being easily hurt and rejected
Having a fragile self-esteem
Appearing as tough-minded or unemotional
Edit CHEESE CAKE IS STILL IN THE RACE!
You know what I'm gonna be the bigger man and walk away now before this thread gives me a tumor induced by frustration. That and I don't wanna be here when the Mods get here. Those moments never end well *Rethinks of bad memories*.Valentine82 said:Different topic with different intention, maybe misplaced, different usage of the term manipulate (psychological manipulation often includes deception), different impression, not a hate thread.
Leave it to the mods, I've broken no rules.
So all those negative things you get when you think of him are pointless because you don't think poorly of him?Valentine82 said:Sorry, but like I said I didn't call him a bad person. I said the things that made me think of him were in bold and I listed off the full criteria for Narcissim highlighting only a few things that made me think of him, and I was sure to point out that I don't think that he's a Narcissist and that some of the traits listed were common in most people. All of the things in bold involve the type of games he makes and the things he says about them.Curtmiester said:BULLLLLSHIT.
Maybe =)Xandus117 said:Is it just me, or have there been a bunch of Peter Molynuex threads recently?
Frankly, I think Peter Molynuex simply thinks that his games are better than they really are.
What the hell are you talking about? I added a disclaimer. The things I highlighted in bold are only things that make me think of him because of the type of games he makes and the things (often untrue things) he says about them. My only criticism of Peter Molyneux, my only actual criticism, is that I think he's dishonest. I have no particular dislike of the man, the only thing I really hate people defend him from any and all criticism and give him a free pass, but that isn't what this thread is supposed to be about.Curtmiester said:So all those negative things you get when you think of him are pointless because you don't think poorly of him?
Once agin, BULLLLLSHIT.
There have been. From this same person.Xandus117 said:Is it just me, or have there been a bunch of Peter Molynuex threads recently?
One a couple of weeks ago to see what people would do, one to seriously discuss the matter of his honesty when presenting his games to the public, and one for fun to deal with the common claim that Peter Molyneux is a narcissist in a light hearted way (in which I clearly state, explicitly, that I don't think he's a narcissist).DrDeath3191 said:There have been. You still only gave one legit option to those who disagree. The others, barring Cheesecake, all cast a negative view of PM. It's a biased poll, since there is no balance between the positive and negative.Valentine82 said:Maybe =)Xandus117 said:Is it just me, or have there been a bunch of Peter Molynuex threads recently?

I still voke Cheese Cake.

Before it got Hijacked, this thread was about having fun and examining the claim found all over the internet that PM's a Narcissist in a light hearted way. If you carefully re-read my topic you'll see that I don't even believe that PM is a Narcissist and that the things I highlighted in bold may be fairly common.
What about Delusional Dreamer and Maybe? What more would you have for those who disagree? I'm open to suggestions.rickheg said:You still only gave one legit option to those who disagree.
