Poll: Is Valve becoming worse over time?

Without Half Life 2 episode 3 anywhere in sight, and the future release of L4D3 and 4 , and portal 2, is Valve losing there touch?I understand you need to make more money for later projects, but this just seems unimagitive.I can name at least 3,000 people on the internet that would give there right arm for HL2E3,(okay, maybe I can't name 3,000 people)and the fact us console players would absolutely love some new updates for Team Fortess 2.There's just alot of things that seem unfinished for them to move on like this.

I see what you mean. L4D is just a renewable source. It is a fun game but you can re-write the same story in a new surrounding. Its almost become a guitar hero-esk franchise. Same game, Same Graphics, Same story, Same evrything but wait, OH!!!?!?!? They added new songs.

Can someone tell me why everyone gets so worked up over the Half Life series? IMO It's not even particularly good, I much preferred Portal, and TF2 is brilliant. Even L4D1 and 2, while they eventually get boring, give more satisfaction.
I would be happy if they released a small game tying up all the loose HL ends, and moved on to something like TF3, or made a new series.

I find it interesting that just because they are taking a long time to release a game, everyone says that they are fucking up.
There are plenty of sequels that have come out years later, so get some patience and get over it.

L4D is their best series in my opinion. I wasn't mad at all at the early release of L4D2, so I'm in the same boat as you.

Im not saying I hate Valve.I love Valve as much as the next guy.More so Infact.But as I said in my starting paragraph, they are many things things to there name that isn't finished.

Ahahah, ahaha... No. Valve hasn't released anything in a while, but they make sure their games are good before releasing them. Be patient.

What do you mean losing their touch? Theyve got quite a few people clambering over any sniff of episode 3 like heroine junkies looking for a fix. They've been able to make a number of well selling games from mods of half life.

The only problem I have is that they made a half assed 360 port then complained that its too hard to make a ps3 port when they've left the 360 versions out in the cold like an unwanted child.

I agree that it isn't good the way they are going but people are continuing to give them money so they aren't going to stop.
