We always used to get real trees. But once I moved to college and my brother and sister were always in and out, my mom finally gave up on a real tree and bought a fake one.


I also have my own fake tree.

I love real trees. This year, however, it's an artificial one my mates got from the place they worked when it went under. My parents got a fake one too since we're going out of town and money's tight enough as it is. Damn you recession!! *shakes fist at dollar bill*

It's really stressful to find a real one these days. Too much time wasted and with fake ones at least we can say we're doing something for nature too .
Anyway I have some branches of tree for the smell that is traditional for Christmas .

where do you live? because in germany it's no problem. real trees everywhere.

Mine is 100% Fake. To much trouble to cut down a real tree and clean up after it.

A fake one mainly because of my dad, he used to deal with trees at his job and hated it and he's always afraid it'll catch fire(He thinks the fake one will too). So the only way to get a tree up at my house is to do it myself. I have fun doing it.

My family would rather have one plastic one that lasts through the ages than kill a tree every year simply so we may observe some tradition that seems like some drunk invented.

Seriously! Who ever thought of chopping down a tree, putting it in the house, then decorating it for Jebus was obviously shit-faced at the time!

Mine's both plastic and nearly as old as me. And we have a hedgehog on the top!
... not a real one. A fluffy toy one with a Santa hat. The top of the tree's gone all bendy and weak, so an angel or something won't sit straight up.

Fake trees all the way, the few times we've had a real one the needles would get everywhere and get stuck in my socks causing me pain. >.> Plus I've got this awesome fibre optic one sitting next to me.
