Nice pic. Do you have a higher res version perchance?
Not that particular one (I just found it on Google), but I do have some of my own. <url=http://img26.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=1000262x.jpg>These are all in Kyoto.

Sadly, almost all of the pictures I have now are from the tail end of the season. All the ones I have in riotous color (just white or pink) are currently residing on a broken external hard drive with no backup copies...

EDIT: Wait! I found another memory card! I thought all of these were lost...

Er, anyway, here's another one.

not the one drow had, but some good ones...

Luverly! I saved both of those. The last time I was in Japan was when my dad was stationed there, and I was only three years old at the time so I don't remember a bit of it. I've just got a few souvenirs, like a deck of hanafuda cards and a wall scroll.
I think that, should I move back there once my kids are grown, and I can officially retire, To continue my studies, and perhaps go for full monkhood ( and eventual transmission) I'll be going to Fukui city...as it's close to Eiheiji temple...If Im not living IN the temple, I know there is a Keifuku bus that leaves to and from Fukui often..

I happen to like japanese culture alot and honestly I'm confused as well as to why people would hate it. In the most simplest way i can put it, japanese culture is mainly anime/food/godzilla. WTF would make a person hate any of those categories?

Judging from my own experience and responses in this thread, I suspect the answer is "people who believe Japanese culture is mainly anime/food/godzilla."

People hate Japanese culture for anime/food/godzilla because of all the people who think those things comprise the whole of Japanese culture.

I can't bring myself to hate a culture that brought us Iron Chef. Anime and manga I can survive without easily, ditto for Japanese games, be they JRPGs, VNs or whatever; but where would I be without the world's most Awesome cooking show?

Pretty much. I will admit my own annoyance for such scapegoats, but for an entirely different reason.

Hard to say, but since they and the rest of the world are in the middle of a recession, I'd suspect the answer is "not that great." I guess it would depend on the intended type of work (some of which could be more difficult for immigrants to attain), but I'm even less knowledgeable about specifics, so...

there is constantly a high demand for content translators, and English teachers.. and in both cases they prefer you to submit everything in english, even if a manager does not know it " that well"

From what I hear about the content editing, is that basically you get payed to translate " engrish" into proper english for news sites/catalogs etc..

save up well as rent may get costly, and curb side Tuesday is becoming a thing ofg the past.

I love Japan, mainly it's history.
I can't stand those people who want nothing else in their life then being a Japanese watching anime all day, to whom going to Japan is the ultimate goal in life, those people. I call 'em sad.
And no, I really don't like anime.
