It was fine, until my white brethren embraced it, bastardized it and utterly reduced it into bright flashy colours, Pocky, drift racing, Hello Kitty, anime, and "HURR HURR NINJAS R SOOO COOL GUYS".

To which, I reply:

But then again, the Japanese are partly to blame for this phenomenon, on account of the way they deliberately package their cultural exports to appeal to wapanese American kids.

So, yeah.

I don't know where you've been. I haven't seen very much Japanese hate at all, around here, and I'm sure that wherever it does come from its biased and unfounded.

Some people get annoyed with seeing it everywhere, though. That's the only thing I can think of. The only founded response I could think of would be that: seeing too much of it would cause some kind of a social break down. Otherwise, dust your shoulders off and care little about it. It's not important until all of the discrimination begins.

I'm rather uneducated about the japanese culture outside of it's media and folklore, so I'd love to learn more about it. It seems like a more interesting culture than the one I'm currently experiencing.

Did I say that?

No. Don't put words in my mouth.

You don't fight hatred with hatred. Hatred breeds more hatred. Why do you hate all Chinese? Do you think that all Chinese don't admit to that? Hell, I know a guy from China who accepts that China's been a d-bag to Asia.

You can't expect to change things by being hateful. And we don't appreciate it here. If you really have the need to vent your Chinese racism, feel free to do it on another site. Frankly, I don't care to see an entire nation of people insulted because of something horrible they did in their past.

Admittedly, what they did was horrific. But you could do a little something called DIPLOMACY and display a little thing called DECENCY and not DISRESPECT people who had nothing to do with it.

Really. Do you think the average Japanese person denies the Rape of Nanking?

The grass is always greener! Personally the fact that Japanese culture is so different isn't a problem with me because like this person I'm quoting, it's experiencing something a little out of the norm that is part of the whole appeal of other cultures, including Japan's. Some of it's weird, but some of the stuff we take for granted is pretty strange too.

Edit: I was late to see this, but.

That basically sums up what I wasn't eloquent enough to get to.

Japan: Supplying 80% of the world's shit since 1948.

Now, seriously, I actually really like Japanese culture. A lot of their music is really good (especially the metal. Maximum the Hormone is my favorite band right about now), their television is amusing, and in general it's fascinating.

I know a girl who transferred to my high school from Japan, and her and I talk about Japan every once in awhile. It's quite interesting to learn that it takes so long to drive across that tiny little island.

Kindly take that statement and blow it out your ass.
Why should I?! They commited the deed against my people (actually to most of asia). and yet today they still say that they are innocent.
So blatant racism makes that all better?

That is logical to the fullest extent.

Do you honestly believe that every Chinese person thinks that? If so, I think you are sorely in need of a reality check.
Denying a genocide committed by your own people is not only insulting to the people that were victimized, but grossly skews history so that there's one less mistake for future generations to be informed of and, in turn, avoid making a second time.

The Japanese are doing it:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nanking_Massacre

And so are the Turks:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armenian_Genocide

Demanding acknowledgment of such tragedies is far, far from unreasonable.

look, its not that people think the Japanese are crazy its actually a complement most of the time.

Think of it this way, in America we watch Bob Barker or Pat Sayjack and have big ass wheels

In Japan you have to jump through holes shaped in a moving wall

I am up for going anywhere on the planet because i love to travel and on my list of places to go Japan makes the top 10

I'm going to be very, very interested if and when this question gets asked in five years. Why? Two reasons.

One, Japan has a ton of old people. Old people tend to be conservative, but Japan's youth are growing up in a steadily more cosmopolitan country. As the older generations start dying off, certain visible aspects of the culture are going to shift.

Two, Japan has a ton of old people, compared to young people. As such, they're starting to rely more on immigrant labor. And if the whole "build a fence along the Mexican border" shenanigans here in the U.S. are stupidly entertaining, I can't wait to see what happens with "Brazilians and Filipinos are staying past their work visas."

For me it's not so much the culture itself as the people who accept even the worst trash (Naruto instantly comes to mind for some reason) as diamond studded gold bricks while constantly bashing the west as being inferior in every way imaginable and the worst thing of all time.

My apologies, I didn't realize "Kindly blow it out your ass" translated to "thank you for sharing your personal opinion, I have come to the conclusion that it is not an unreasonable one, and shall respect it as such."

Also, GestapoHunter never claimed to hate Japanese people or culture. He said he would like them more, likely meaning that he respects them the same way he does any other nation, but begrudges them for pretending that the injustices that they've committed never occurred.

Instead of viewing this objectively, you flew off the handle, told him to take his opinion and shove it, then proceeded to call him a backwards, irrational racist.
