He mentions that the reason Kaiden/Ashley and Liara only get cameos and aren't recruitable is because they needed to make sure you couldn't kill them (from 1 minute 55 seconds) :)
I suspected as much. Though I wonder, does that mean if you start fresh in ME3 they are romancable again with a whole new character?

I would actually pay for DLC even if it only allowed me to reply to Kaiden's email after Horizon tbh :-S Because so much is left hanging....
Now there's a thought... ;)

'Press A to give drink to Miranda'

'Press A to engage in awkwardly animated sex scene'

Honestly. I love ME2 but no.
I believe you mean, 'rotate the left stick counter clockwise then hit the left (or right, depending) trigger at the precise moment to engage in awkwardly animated sex scene'

Huh...
Push it through enough and you might just get a 'Mass Effect meets Persona'.

I guess I'd first have to buy ME2 before I consider buying expansions. (been meaning to... but I just ain't got the time! And what's the use of buying it if you know you ain't gonna play it straight away?)

I would pay for a romance package if it allowed you to romance Dr. Chakwas (regardless of gender).

She seemed the best choice out of all of them for me. She's a lover of the finer things in life, can handle serious drinking on an occasional basis and for an older woman, has aged wonderfully.

But then, I played as a female Sheppard, so I found my choices limited to Jacob, Garrus and Thane, none of whom I found as compelling as Chakwas.

It depends. One of the things that really bugged me in this game (on a long, long list) was the shallowness of the love interests and the way the relationships were handled in general. Plus I think the way BioWare went on record about the lack of same-sex romances in this game was just...dumb. If the relationship pack were to add more romance options/deepen the storyline a bit so it didn't feel so arbitrary and tacked-on, then I'd be for down it. If not, I'll stay away.

As it is, I've only played through this game once, was so thoroughly disappointed I haven't been back. I highly doubt a romance DLC would win me back anyway. But stranger things have happened.

Indeed... and I didn't recognize you with the new avatar. It's very cool!

Yes if it means I can romance my ME1 love interest. My extremely short conversation and single email from Kaidan was not nearly enough. I know a lot of Liara and Ashley fans who feel the same way.

No

One of my biggest problems with Mass Effect 2 is how there is barely any interaction with some squadmates unless you romance them. Making a DLC exclusively for the romances would only further add to this. I have no problem with them adding more to the romances, but they should make it part of a bigger expansion. That way there will be more content and the people who have no interest in romances (like me) won't feel left out.

One thing I've learned from the BioWare forums is that there are people who would willingly pay tons of money for just that. So the sad thing is BioWare really could get away with making a DLC like that.

If it's accompanied with a a mission to save Ashley, Liara, or Kaiden, I'd give it a go. Especially Liara, because such a mission would likely involve the Shadow Broker, who I really want to know more about.

I suppose id buy it, out of morbid curiosity. How bad can it get? no wait, don't answer that.

The whole idea just seems a bit off, but then again I am a bit off.

Probably not, no. Not unless it came with more than just some added conversations.

Seems more like Cerberus Network content to me.

There was a moment in the kasumi DLC a bit like that, I thought to myself 'I can't believe I'm partaking in this...'

It's creepy the level of vicarious living that goes on now through Shepard.
