No, I didnt buy the game for the romance in the first place. Thats a stupid thing to waste money on.

I didn't think Ashley was a racist: I just thought she was a b****.

Kaiden at least had a reason to be whiny: so I wound up saving him all the time during that one mission and leaving Ashley to go KABOOM!

I never thought that Kaiden was whiny, just incredibly boring. I mean, he somehow found a way to make a story about killing your insane biotic teacher sound dull. If I was a biotic, I would probably be just like him in that sense. And I don't want to talk to myself in a video game.

But I always blew up the one that was of the opposite gender in order to avoid romances.

One thing I've learned from the BioWare forums is that there are people who would willingly pay tons of money for just that. So the sad thing is BioWare really could get away with making a DLC like that.
There was a moment in the kasumi DLC a bit like that, I thought to myself 'I can't believe I'm partaking in this...'

It's creepy the level of vicarious living that goes on now through Shepard.
People on the BioWare forums complained that the dress FemShep got in that missions was not good enough. Of all the things you could complain about in the game, people made a big deal about the dress.

If we saw Tali's face during a date then maybe.
Pretty much any DLC involving Tali would be guaranteed to sell, especially if they showed her face. Maybe that's why they didn't show it in Mass Effect 2.

Honestly. I love ME2 but no.
ROFL, that would be hilarious + tells us a lot about you, matey ;-)
Ahaha, damn I walked into that one didn't I...

Who needs game when you have Roofies, eh?
That you did, dude, that you did :)

He mentions that the reason Kaiden/Ashley and Liara only get cameos and aren't recruitable is because they needed to make sure you couldn't kill them (from 1 minute 55 seconds) :)
I suspected as much. Though I wonder, does that mean if you start fresh in ME3 they are romancable again with a whole new character?

I would actually pay for DLC even if it only allowed me to reply to Kaiden's email after Horizon tbh :-S Because so much is left hanging....
Now there's a thought... ;)

I believe you mean, 'rotate the left stick counter clockwise then hit the left (or right, depending) trigger at the precise moment to engage in awkwardly animated sex scene'
Dunno if you will be able to to start a romance with ME1 LI's but it would be interesting to see how they would integrate that....

I suppose they could just assume nothing happened between Shepard's character and ME1's LIs. That way it would preserve continuity if you started fresh.

Thanks, you guys reminded me that there was more DLC out for this already.

OT: Yeah, I would buy it. 'Cos I'm a fanboy and I admit it.

xD Nah, just kidding, I just really like ME2 and pretty much anything that they would want to add I'd probably be okay with. As long as it wasn't completely worthless. If you combine the last two DLCs together, that's only about $10 and who the heck doesn't have $10s to spend if you have a game like ME2 and Internet?

I will say this, however. I think it would've been nice if they expanded on it in the original game rather than save it for DLC, but it'd be nice to have it either way.

No. I would only buy it if it were something cool, like you and the crewmate you had the Romance with got stranded somewhere and needed to fight your way back to the Normandy/a way out over the course of several days while you learn more about the character you're with.

^I think THAT would be cool, but if it's just a date DLC, then hell no.

I sure hope they don't do that if you did have a romance, and it would be at odds with what Casey has said regarding consequences of 'cheating'!

I wouldn't buy it. Period. I'm fine with having that little extra bit of romance tacked onto my game play, but it isn't the point of the game. If you want a romance sim, then order one from Japan.

Of course not! No cheating allowed! ;)

But if you were someone new to the series, they could say the background was Kaidan/Ashley worked with Shepard, and nothing more. I only say this because I got the impression that you could not bring Shepard forward in the series to ME3 unless you kept Shepard alive in 2.

It's all a little confusing to me though. I probably won't have it all straight in my head until I actually play 3 and see what they meant.

As long as it adds something new to the game (and isn't an insane price) I'd buy pretty much any DLC, the only one I don't have so far is the 'Character Alternate Appearance' one, and that's because it adds nothing.

Although I wouldn't want it if it was like this:

'Press A to give drink to [Love Interest]'

'Press A to engage in awkwardly animated sex scene'
Then again. by my standards that's count as adding nothing.

This is more what I am talking about:

Apparently they are dealing with over 1000 carry over choices for 3 (there were 700 for 2)! :-O
I agree that players playing 3 first would benefit greatly from a bit of the Kaiden love ;-)

I agree but you quoted the wrong person :)
And actually the character appearance adds something vital - Clothes to Jack! ;-)

Yes, I would. Why? I like the idea. It's that simple. I don't how how it would work, but I would get it; if/when they decide to make it.

I'd buy it if it allowed the option for Fem-Shep to romance Legion. Otherwise, no.
This.. win.
I'd love a romance with Legion. By far the coolest character BioWare has ever made.

ps sorry for double post.
