She is easily my least favorite ME character, right ahead of Miranda.

You know what I liked about Ashley (and indeed most Mass Effect characters save perhaps Shepard himself/herself/itself/whatever): she was believable. She struck me as exactly what her dialogues with her eventually revealed. Even having known about the infamous sex scene, I never saw Ashley as the love interest until it dawned on me that all that conversation stuff was leading to that. I just bought her and most of the others as "buy-able" characters. If that's what she looks like now, I'm a bit disappointed. She strikes me as the classic love-interested, video game bimbo. Hopefully her dialogue won't become as buxom as her chest.

I never found any of the females in Mass Effect all that appealing, and there was no benefit to romancing them so i often avoided that road bump. For transfer save i guess I'm stuck with the guy cos i let the chick die, which in my opinion made the most sense.

Also every time i hear about her I'm reminded by how Yahtzee pointed out her name.

Seriously, her boobs look so much more real than, say, Dead or Alive busoms, which isn't to say they're all that great. And that's about the only good thing I have to say about her. She has stark, cold facial features of the sort I found attractive on Julie Strain (Heavy Metal) when I was 15, and she has the cold, vacant eyes of a model on qualudes. Or "Miley Cyrus eyes," as you prefer.

Glad I'm not the only one who liked Jack. Of all the 'side' characters, she was the only one I found understandably motivated. Things could get a little dry and boring without her to color up the game.

I say thumbs down on this. Part of the reason I loved the character was because it was one of the most realistic presentations of a female marine in a game that actually went into detail. Now she is all dolled up like Miranda? Fuck, they better not change her personality or I will be pissed.

Good lord, these character designs are even further in the uncanny valley than they were before...

To be fair these are early renders of a game not fully finished being shown on a magazine cover. I imagine they'll fix up at least SOME of the uncanny valley effects before the game ships out.
