I dont think so, Rush is a great band and with awesome basslines and original guitar work backed by the greatest percussionist alive, and is far superior to a week in the woods
However, you can't bring a hunting rifle to a rock concert...
Rush still wins in my book

+1 internet to you sir

Rushing isn't as bad as camping because rushing isn't something that a beginning player can pick up. A new player can sit in a certain spot and just camp there all game, and even possibly get a high spot if not win from this, where as they wouldn't be able to pick up all that's needed to rush and do it successfully.

Indeed, however I belive Styx may be a contender to that idea.

If you're sniping then you're going to camp.
I take offense to that. I snipe and the only time i camp is when someone keeps trying to Camp our spawn point so i Camp them specifically. Aside from that i try to never camp.
...

OK?

Its still a viable tactic for someone who's going to snipe - its not some sort of gamer-dig. And why do you try not to? You mean it'd be easier for you if did?

Do it then; if you're camping then you're in the same place, if people are too stupid to work out where you're situated after you've killed them twice then its their own fault.

Don't get me started on the people who dictate which weapons are and aren't for "N00B5".

There are times to rush and there are times to camp. At times ill use both strategies in the same game if I feel a class change is necessary. All depends who your playing and what type of match it is. Neither are cheap just different tactics in my opinion.

I really don't get why people cry about 'camping'. They're staying alive and getting kills while you run round like an idiot getting shot. If they're camping in a remote corner of the map that nobody goes near then fair enough they aren't helping their team. But if they're holding a chokepoint or defending an objective then they are helping their team win and getting a good K/D because of it.

Don't like it then either find a flaw in their defense or just avoid them but don't sit and cry about them hiding in a dark corner (duh, it's harder to kill what you can't see).

I like rushers more, atleast you can usually easily gun the rushers down, when campers prefer to sit where it's almost impossible to get a shot at them.

I've not got a problem with camping, but being rushed and stabbed by someone who at least from my point of view (inevitable latency or more likely a bug) more than 5 metres away is unreasonable.

The way this is going, we won't even be allowed to pull the trigger without it being "unbalanced" or "unfair". Rushing is extremely useful, and tactical (a word Infinity Ward seemed to shoe-horn in to every orifice they could find) if you are playing a game like Search and Destroy. It is all about winning really. If you are a productive player and contribute to your team's performance, you're playing the game properly. Camping only sucks when people literally DON'T move, even after they've been killed. They'll go back to the very same spot. That is when it becomes annoying.

Okay, here we go.

I have absolutely no problem with campers who simply find a decent spot rather than using a glitch to reach an otherwise unreachable place. The objective of the game on a whole is to get as many kills and as few deaths as possible. If a player finds a method that works for them and uses it effectively, they are being smart players.

I cannot say that I have a problem with these so called "rushers" either. However cheap and annoying you may find said glitch exploitation, the blame lies with the game developer for not rectifying this glitch, rather than the players who use said methods to play effectively.

At the end of the day the last laugh shall be at their expense when the developers rectify the glitch and they're left like a fish out of water, trying to find another method that works for them.

campers aren't really a big deal, i dont camp, and if i get hit by one i know their spot and i pop around the corner fast and pop them in the face, problem solved, rushers, they take the specific routes which are major advantages to them, and alot of the maps besides derail and wasteland are built for them, so trying to gun them down is a lot hard, unless you run around with shotgun(s) the whole time (which unfortunately alot of people do) then you can beat them, otherwise they are really tough, and they aren't in the same spot so your probably gonna get anus raped since its a fps

It is now normal to see at least one player using a "Rush" class (tac.knife,marathon,lightweight/care package) per game

Many speculations have formed over weather "rushing" is as bad as "Camping"

BUT...

if you think about it, rush is the exact opposite of camping.

what do you think?
I prefer rushing to camping, as the player is at least taking the risk of getting shot to get a kill, and while it can get annoying in CQC, at least you can shoot at them, and usually in my case, kill them dead. Campers on the other hand deny any way for anyone to fight back against them which, while an overall smart tactical move in real life, breaks the rules of fair play in multiplayer. It'd be like a person suddenly becoming the Juggernaut off of the MW2 spec ops missions: totally unfair because we can't fight back.

Don't really care about either. If those players enjoy playing that way, good for them. Personally, I don't find it any harder to kill campers or rushers than any other player, so it doesn't bother me. I think the game would be alot worse if everyone played the same way, I enjoy having to alter my tactics based on the given situation.

Ultimately, I wish everyone would stop moaning and just play the bloody game!

Rush is terrible also.

They should patch the game so you can't travel too far in a certain time period, or stay in one spot for too long. These time frames/distances should be extremely similar, meaning lots of random deaths due to moving too little/much will occur.

Alternatively patch every weapon to not fire and freeze everybody at the spawn bar me, it's cheating if they can fight back/kill me.

Genuinely, if you can do it in the game with solely the game at your disposal, then it is a legitimate tactic. Whether that is camping, rushing, pro-piping and even glitching; everyone has the same tools at their disposal and should learn to adapt rather than cry.

that being said, I don't love MW2 as much as some people have proven their desire to marry it.
Glitching is a reportable offense.

Rushing is acceptable in my opinion. You have a fighting chance. As for campers, they usually kill you without you being able to sort it out. Usually in one door hallways, alleys, ect.
