I dont think so, Rush is a great band and with awesome basslines and original guitar work backed by the greatest percussionist alive, and is far superior to a week in the woods
Oh I like you.

But of course, Portnoy owns Peart so, you know, might wanna fix that.

OT: I quite enjoy using that class, but people like that are easy to kill, all you need is a Spas 12, with a grip.

My package is usually SOCOM with Tactical knife, marathon, lightweight, commando, and a throwing knife. I never fire a shot, but people do get annoyed by me. I don't see it as cheap as camping when people can see me from far off and kill me, but I have to be right up on them to even have a chance of killing them.

I agree, camping is unfair and is just annoying, especially when the person camping is hidden in a rooms dark corner. I am the type of player that likes to run around the map getting kills, instead of waiting for the other players to come to me, something I found easy to do in COD4 but not in MW2. Rushing on the other hand is not as bad, annoying, but when they rush you there still is a good chance to kill them.
Hang on...it's annoying and unfair because it kills you?

Damn, I'm glad I don't play online (most of my MW2 experience is limited to 4-player split-screen - I, like Yahtzee, prefer to sit in a room where I can banter to people to their face and give them a clip over the ear if necessary).

Surely hiding in a dark corner is a great idea - it allows you to ambush the reckless players and thanks to the HUD you're not exactly "hidden" either. But staying out of sight is a valid tactic in a game that gives you camouflage for a reason. And that's my biggest problem with people that decry campers/snipers (since, online at least, the two seem to be synonymous).

Sorry, but the tone I get from that post is basically "I don't like it because I die". Which is a dumb way to label something as "unfair".

Same again directed at this post:

Isn't shooting someone who is using the "cheaty" (though I don't see how it is personally) knife load-out from a long distance what most people would call a "good idea"?

Okay, here we go.

I have absolutely no problem with campers who simply find a decent spot rather than using a glitch to reach an otherwise unreachable place. The objective of the game on a whole is to get as many kills and as few deaths as possible. If a player finds a method that works for them and uses it effectively, they are being smart players.

I cannot say that I have a problem with these so called "rushers" either. However cheap and annoying you may find said glitch exploitation, the blame lies with the game developer for not rectifying this glitch, rather than the players who use said methods to play effectively.

At the end of the day the last laugh shall be at their expense when the developers rectify the glitch and they're left like a fish out of water, trying to find another method that works for them.
YAY!
A post I completely agree with!!

If camping and rushing is what you do best, then enjoy it while you can.
But remember that its not a guaranteed "strategy", and it can be patched.

For those complaining, just remember that there is no "Geneva Convention" for playing CoD.

I'm kind of impartial, if there's a camper, semtex. If there's a rusher claymores and sustained burst fire.

Campers are hated because they like to find glitches and just sit there where no one can touch them. If the player is out in plain sight, I don't see anything wrong with that. That's the way the game is supposed to be played.
Actually, I've always found it perfectly acceptable for people to just sit where they are. I've never heard the definition of a camper as specifically being who exploits glitches. If you're sniping then you're going to camp.

Why people want to dictate how others play is beyond me.
There is a difference between snipers and campers. Snipers move with the flow and don't just sit in one spot the whole time except maybe on small maps. They kill a couple of people, then they find another nest, otherwise they get bombarded by people who know where they are. Campers repetitively go back to the same spot over and over even after everyone knows they are there. It's an easy kill, but they seem to think it's a good strategy or something.

I have yet to play a game where the camper can't be killed. I haven't played MW2 either so maybe thats the problem.
I haven't played MW2 myself, so maybe it's not as big of an issue. I know on WaW (the courtyard map to be exact), people would glitch through stairs and not even an explosion could get them out. Fortunately, that got fixed, but not until a couple months before MW2 came out. That's when I started going on youtube to see all the glitches people found just so I could keep an eye on those spots as I was running around the map.

I think id take a camper over a rusher anyday.. With rushers they tend to use that BS glitch to make them run like 5x as fast... And it is complete bullshit.. Like fucking crack heads on a half price day! At least with campers i have all day to decide how i should kill them.. There is no glitch no MW2 where you cant kill the campers..

Well I thinks it obvious that when you are playing MW2 that dying is something you try to avoid, what I meant to say, sorry if you misunderstood me, was that I hate dying by campers because its a cheap way to get kills and really should only be a strategy involved in defensive games like sabotage and domination. Even if the camper does not manage to kill me, I still find it annoying that the person was even there to begin with. Snipers have a right to camp obviously because that is the whole point of sniping. Maybe I am wrong about it being unfair since its not against any rules, but if you are good at MW2, why waste your time waiting for some unlucky person to wander into the building you are camping in just to kill him, possibly piss him off, and he spend the rest of the game trying to kill you and make sure you don't get back to that spot you were camping. It's not worth it in my opinion, but I have my point of view and you have yours.

I really don't understand people complaining about playstyles (as long as it dosen't make use of hacking or exploiting). If they're killing you, you need to adapt your play style. Just to add to it, I think a lot of people don't realize that MW2 dosen't get a whole lot father than CQB ranges.

No no no no no. I don't even care about rushing because if you know where they spawn. You also know where they will show up and that is easy to stop. Compared to camping where the could be anywhere.

Sort of. It's far less unfair than camping since you have a chance to shoot them. It's just really annoying

I am a massive rusher in most multilayer games.(I <3 Pyro)
I have a pretty bad k/d(just below 1 in most games), but I am distracting/annoying the enemy team, so I'm doing my part and having some fun. :D

My problem with is that rushers, unlike campers, exploit the games laggy nature. They are moving so fast they can avoid a lot of the bullets that supposedly "hitmarked" them, because it didn't really register. For example, a rusher once took two Barret rounds (both got hit markers) and a shotty blast before dying.
