I will enjoy many games while you pay double the retail price and support our greedy retail who, I remind you, are killing themselves with extremely overpriced stock. I know this is off the OT, but if the retail does not want to die, they need to look after their customers, not use us as their cash cow.
Current Affair and Today Tonight are biased, media attention whores anyway.
And just as a side note, you should know exactly who you are "supporting".
Most people will buy their games from EB games, which is the re-branded name of a very infamous franchise in America known as Game Stop. When you buy from EB, you are sending most of your money overseas to the owners of the Game Stop franchise.
Game Stop base their business on making money from used games. This business model is mostly damaging the gaming industry, not helping it. It means that developers do not see a cent from the sale of a used game, and thus they raise their prices to make up for lost profit, or add stupid codes for basic content to entice people to buy new games.
Worst of all, it discourages developers from creating new and innovative games. Instead, they rely on the same old formula that made money before, and just create a sequel so that people will get all hyped up and buy it brand new. These games are usually pathetically over priced and have no value or qualities that enhance the gaming experience (IM LOOKING AT YOU CALL OF DUTY, BATTLEFIELD, HALO)
