Poll: Most overrated game/series ever?

I would have to say either Grand Theft Auto or Final Fantasy mostly because they have a lot of history in the past.
Grand Theft Auto got....boring after when San Andreas came out which proves that bigger doesn't always mean better.
Final Fantasy....need I say more? I mean 7, 8, and 9 were good. maybe 10 and 10-2, but 11 sucked and so did 12. I am iffy about 13.

I've got to go with Halo...again. Gears of war a close second.
I liked the Fable games. Ture they werent all that Molyneux hyped them up to be and the ending of the second one made me want to throw my controller through the TV, but they were competent games and I enjoyed them.FROGGEman2 said:

I like Half Life fine but still my vote goes to it, it's just a first person shooter with a nice setting and some puzzle sequences. The sheer level of praise it is getting is in idrect proportion to Halo's lack thereof and I never really noticed a high level of Halo Hate before Yahtzee's review so my guess is people are easily influenced.

11 sucked because you had to keep paying for it due to the online play.James Cassidy said:

LoL!!! Gears of War is not overrated you say. Tell me why then is aparently the best game on 360 has a 7 hour singleplayer experience with a B-grade story (at best), characters straight from the movie 300 and brought to the sci-fi age and contains painfully repetitive gameplay.

I suppose it is widely said that Halo is overrated. But i mean, any game with that much hype is going to have to be overrated. That's not to say that i'm standing up for Halo. Seeming as IMO the first was good and the two after that were expensive expansion packs.

Halo 1 was good. The whole series is ok for a shooter.
GoW 1 was good. GoW 2 was better. Great if you're into that genre.
GTA 1, 2 and 3 were all great. 4 isn't bad.
