Poll: NewZealand Haters, WHY!?

I live in NewZealand (pretty much the bottom of the world) and we get so many haters!
I constantly get hate of shock from people in online gaming

Things like: OMG your from N.Z? how did you get power into your mud hut, or a computer for that matter?.

Or the best one yet, an American asked me whats the best way to f**k a sheep (Common N.Z joke)
I was so sick of this my response was: Put them at the edge of a cliff, they push back better!
Sometimes shock and surprise just goes a little too far.

N.Z has the most diverse Geology than any other country (Yes thats a fact)
We have our own native culture the Maori (although it isnt focused on)
And honestly we are more advanced than a lot of other places.

Of course you can make jokes
We have the most useless wildlife ever =P
Our Politic Leaders are a joke (so are all the other countries too hehe)
You can't pronounce our placenames without a vowel book

But there isn't need for hate, Share love =)

It's hard to argue with whoever holds the WC currently, but by that merit England were "the best team in the world" circa 2003, doesn't mean we always were/will be.

Do you remember when France came over to play rugby last year? Your media was full of opprobrium because they hadn't sent all the players from their national team. Then France beat you & the Kiwi fans threw bottles at them. Contemptible & truly sickening!

Presumably then you haven't heard of the Southern Hemisphere Rugby Union.

That was my point, I've got no interest in the Tri Nations.

Edit: Seeing as I don't live in Australia, NZ or SA why would I give a toss? The Six Nations was what the Home Nations became, it was a British tournament, then France and Italy joined in. (Probably a mistake, seeing as France won this year.)

I have never heard of anyone hate on NZ or people from there. I always figured you would be more annoyed by Lord of the Ring questions/jokes than sheep jokes.

Also if they are American, they might be making a Flight of the Concords reference.

If you are really sick of it though and you are in the states, just tell people you are from England or something. Most Americans don't know the differences in accents or are too stupid to catch it.

Considering their IRB ranking at the same time, yes, they were... or at least Wilkinson was. Looking at that team's performances with and without him, he made that team what it was.

It's not just WC wins... The All Blacks have also struggled to get over the Boks during the Tri Nations as well.

I'm not saying this because I don't like the ABs. Unless they're playing the Wallabies I always cheer for the All Blacks. They're a great team with a great heritage but I think 'best' is a bit beyond them at the moment. Otherwise you might as well argue the Welsh national team is the best because of their international dominance back in the days when dinosaurs roamed.

For example, here in England we hate the French, the Welsh, the Scottish, the Irish...... and pretty much all of Europe. Damn, that's a lot of neighbourly love.

well i am one, and one of my mates came over from Australia recently and we gave him some good natured banter and he came back just as good

funny thing is that we use the same jokes about Aussies as Aussies use for us its mostly in good fun i think
