Poll: Porn. Have you ever been caught with it and how would you react if you caught your kids?

Hmm...they know I do it (damn older sister) but I never went to any "sites" while on our home computer..(I have once I got my laptop) so I would content myself with just google image searches with the safe search off...

Suprisingly, my sister was looking at it on the house computer and she is the reason the computer got a virus and why our home e-mail got spam of a sexual nature (advertisements).

Hmm..I don't believe I would punish my children (if I had any) if I caught them looking at it but I would warn them to be careful of malicious sites, inform them not to purchase anything, and tell them that "real" sex isn't like that...of course I have never had it so I wouldn't know

Edit: To cover my tracks before I knew how to clear the browser I would look up similar things...for instance kittens, cats, etc and then there would be "pussy"...yeah...I know...lame...

I probably wouldn't care in the slightest if they were watching porn, If I watched it at their age what right do I have to punish them for it.

I have been caught watching porn twice, I just had to explain how I knew that porn is nothing like real sex.

My dad found some stuff in my room, called me in. He basiclly told me to be more careful in hiding it, remember that it's unlikely to find that stuff in real life and to make sure my mother never found out.

How I'd react myself would depend on how bizarre the stuff got, and how much of it I found.

[I always keep a fullscreen Window that doesn't have porn related stuff on it in the background just for this. [Normally a different browser window].

Also, I wouldn't care if my kids were watching porn, as long as it was normal porn. [I hope they wouldn't do it while I'm in the house, but y'know sometimes things get a little urgent. [I'd be worried if I saw them watching non-normal porn, and if I saw it again, I'd definitely have to have a talk. [I know full-well the one time I do catch them it will be when they just clicked a link to see just wtf was going on there]]]

I have never been caught myself but I have had a pretty unsettling incident where my elder brother gave me a removable hard drive he had finished with, but had forgotten to wipe.

Started looking through it just randomly. Found several folders marked as work so I passed this info onto my mother and said I would check them to see if I could see if there was anything important he might want to keep. I investigated. First few were fine, something to do with his Phd. Last one was filled with video files all marked as numbers i.e. 001, 002 etc.

Opened first...

Oh... Well there goes any chance of being an uncle...

And if I had kids and caught them looking then it depends:

If they were older than maybe 17 I guess I would be okay with it.

Any younger and I would be a little worried and instill the not till your 16 speech.

Also depends on content. Most things for me are a case of 'whatever floats your boat' but I would have to draw the line at bestiality or really extreme stuff.

I've never been caught but I have been very, very close. Like if I had reacted a split second late then my mom would have gotten a faceful of lesbian action. I've gotten a lot better at hidding it since then.

I would probably be okay with and if I were to catch them spankin the monkey, I would just try and pretend I didn't see anything because that would make the next couple months awkward as hell.

EDIT: I'd also tell him to keep quiet, since hearing your child wanking in the other room is a bit unsettling.

I'm good with porn; my wife is good with porn. My guess is that we'll be fine with the kids looking at it - not that we would want to know what they're looking at and not that they should be looking at it anytime soon (they're rather young even assuming an extra dash of precociousness).

Sometimes I do have one nagging worry: When I was young, the internet was unavailable to the public and therefore porn was rare and usually came in the form of Playboy - indeed, my own perversions are almost certainly due to early access to Penthouse, Oui, Cherie, etc. Nowadays, though, the ability to access (for free!) just about any fetish material one could imagine from the comfort of your laptop is a given. Sure, I love the situation - but I've eased into my porn consumption over the decades and (in recent years) with my wife right there beside me. What kind of world will we have when middle-schoolers/pre-teens have access to stuff that can still make me blush?

Oh, and no matter what I'd be having a talk with them(ie, just a general making sure things are clear, like not everyone is a porn star, treat people with respect, yadda, yadda, yadda], but y'know I kinda thought that'd be taken for granted.
