Your saying it'll look better on an Xbox 360 than PC? Usually it its the other way around. I don't believe you. PC because controlling on a mouse is much easier than on a Xbox 360 controller.
Its what your used to, I find it impossible to aim witha mouse but I could see how someone could be good with it, a keyboard on the otherhand is just terribly awkward, controller fits comfortably in your hand

Decide for yourself, OP. [http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/]

But, if at all possible, PC.
My only issue with that service is the blatant advertising. It is pretty cool though.

It once told me I didn't meet recommended spec with my OC'd Q9550 on dirt 2 even though the base clock is still higher than some in the i7 range.
Just take the recommendations with a grain of salt.
Its only really worth using if people don't understand system specs - some people seem to be under the impression that it actually tells you how well a game will run.

I say its about time developers start releasing benchmark tools for their games; that way they're actually being helpful, and they can more easily get away with not releasing a demo.

It's a first person game...that means mouse + keyboard.
Did the OP seriously suggest a 360 game looks better "out of the box" than its PC counterpart? My graphics card alone costs more than a PS3.

Only advantage to getting it on 360 is XBL...well it's also a little quicker to play first time too as it doesn't require an install. But Steam makes multiplayer gaming as easy as XBL.

My general life advice is that if you are unsure of playing a game on a PC, you are better off picking any other option. But that is coming from a guy who managed to delete part of his system files by modding a game. I still don't know how, I just took it as a sign from some cosmic deity to stop fucking around with PC gaming.

I will get it on Xbox 360 but everyone knows that most games are better on PC...if your PC is good enough. *cries*

How the hell is a gamepad a pro? For first person games the keyboard/mouse combo is just better.

PC, of course the PC.

I have the same problem. It'd look better on my PC, but theres more people to play co-op with on Live.

If you have trouble finding Co-op partners on steam you really are doing it wrong. Join open groups or hop in open games, if not add me I always am up for Co-op.

Don't your friends play on PCs?

PC, though your points for and against seem quite bias towards X-Box (Really? An FPS about precision with a Game Pad?) so go for that. I've played it on X-Box, and honestly it's really annoying to play with.

Sorry, I worded that wrong. I meant that more of my real-life friends will be on Live. Sure, some of the are on PC, but most of the friends I'd be likely to play with only have a 360.

Buy it on PS3.

Activate your free copy on Steam.

Sell your PS3 copy to a friend.

Save $$$$$ : )
one would hope Valve is stupid enough to not see it coming...

A few. Most of them are on 360. I think overall I'd prefer to have it on Steam (free updates, better graphics etc), but I need friends on Steam who play games often. I'll probably end up buying it on both :p

That sell PS3 copy scheme won't work I don't think.
The exception being stores that don't know better or something, but to my understanding you don't get "A PC copy free with the PS3 copy"

What you get it a "Steam Copy" (PS3 and PC) or an xBox copy.
Portal 2 installs steam on the PS3 requiring your steam login to run, the Steam code verifies them BOTH. Sell the PS3 and the person that gets it can't play because you used the code.

I imagine this was a sick hilarious marketing ploy they used to eliminate the ability for retailers to make a buck off of used PS3 copies. It was probably a happy convenience it would sound great on paper and stir up hype for that particular version.

But back on topic, I voted PC but I misunderstood the question as a general thing. You should probably clarify you are asking the Escapist what they think YOU should buy. I imagine 90% of the votes are what people think is superior themselves.
